Cam Akers' fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 11 (2024). Our advice on whether you should start or sit Cam Akers for fantasy lineups.
BALLER MOVE: Sit
POSITIONAL VALUE: RB5
ANALYSIS: Minnesota Vikings running back Cam Akers carried the ball 13 times in his team's win over the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 10. This doesn't mean that workload will continue moving forward, though. It was a favorable matchup, and lead back Aaron Jones (ribs) ran the ball 17 times despite missing around a quarter of play.

Jones is the undisputed workhorse back of this team, and though he's been injury prone, when he's healthy, he'll handle the vast majority of the work. He carried the ball 40 times in his two previous games. Had he not missed time, Akers probably would have hardly seen any play.
Despite the trade, the former Houston Texan is simply a backup, and should be treated as a handcuff for fantasy purposes. It appears he's snagged the RB2 job away from Ty Chandler, so fantasy managers who have Chandler can safely drop him for the new second-string man. But there's no reason to start Akers -- Jones is healthy and ready to go for Week 11.
