Braelon Allen fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 9 (2024). Should you start or sit Braelon Allen for fantasy football lineups?
BALLER MOVE: Sit in 8-12 Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: RB4
ANALYSIS: Braelon Allen made a splash in Week 8 with a season-high 12 carries in the New York Jets' loss to the New England Patriots. The rookie totaled 32 rushing yards and a touchdown in that contest.
Playing on 30.7% of snaps, Allen saw two red zone opportunities. However, his efficiency lagged behind RB Breece Hall, with Allen managing just 2.6 yards per carry compared to Hall's 5.0.

Despite his increased role as of late, it is uncertain how many touches Allen will see in Week 9, especially in a short week as the Jets face the Houston Texans on Thursday night.
The Texans allow 4.7 yards per rush this season (ninth-most), but Allen's limited snap share makes him too risky to trust.
Allen is best left on your bench this week unless you are in a 14-team league. As long as Hall is healthy, Allen's workload will remain limited. He is a valuable hold as a handcuff, but this is not the week to roll him out as a starter. Keep him stashed.
