Steelers Release Landry Jones

The Pittsburgh Steelers released quarterback Landry Jones this weekend. The Steelers decided to go with rookie Mason Rudolph and Joshua Dobbs as the backups to Ben Roethlisberger. Jones played in parts of three games last year and had one touchdown and one interception in 28 pass attempts.

Matt Barkley Placed On IR

The Cincinnati Bengals placed quarterback Matt Barkley (knee) on the Injured Reserve on Sunday. He won't be eligible to return until after Week 8. Jeff Driskel will be the primary backup to Andy Dalton heading into Week 1.
