Dennis Clausen

13856 articles

Dennis wasn’t always a hardcore fan of sports. Instead, he spent most of his time on the mat, focusing on Folkstyle, Freestyle, and Greco-Roman wrestling. He was also involved in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. However, Dennis eventually began watching basketball and football, where he developed an obsession with his hometown Brooklyn Nets while rekindling his love for the Cincinnati Bengals, a team he enjoyed using in Madden in the early 90s. Since then, he started writing about fantasy sports before joining RotoBaller, where he’s been for nearly a decade, mostly writing NBA and NFL news. He loves playing DFS, especially NBA. Dennis is a member of the FSWA and has been competing in the King’s Classic, a fantasy league consisting of fantasy football writers from various websites, since 2019. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter. He also loves video games, especially Madden, NBA2K, and Final Fantasy.

Kristaps Porzingis Sidelined on Friday Night

Atlanta Hawks center Kristaps Porzingis (illness) won't play on Friday versus the Cavaliers. The veteran has been productive this season, averaging 18.7 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 1.6 assists. However, he'll now miss his ninth game of the 2025 campaign. His next chance to suit up will be on Sunday in Philadelphia, but as far as […]

Isaiah Hartenstein Won't Play on Friday Night

Oklahoma City Thunder center Isaiah Hartenstein (ankle) won't suit up for Friday's NBA Cup meeting with the Phoenix Suns. The 27-year-old has averaged 12.2 points, 10.7 rebounds, and 1.3 steals this season, so he's been reliable for the defending champs. He's dealing with ankle soreness, and while it doesn't seem like an injury that will […]

Evan McPherson Has a Career Night on Thursday

Cincinnati Bengals kicker Evan McPherson had a productive night in Thursday's win over the Baltimore Ravens, draining a career-high six of his six attempts. The 26-year-old had a quiet start to begin the 2025 campaign. However, with the Bengals offense clicking, he's been more involved since going 4-for-4 in the meeting with the Pittsburgh Steelers […]

Mitchell Tinsley Targeted Nine Times on Thursday

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Mitchell Tinsley had two catches for 22 yards in Thursday's win over the Baltimore Ravens. With Tee Higgins (concussion) sidelined for this one, there were extra targets up for grabs from the returning Joe Burrow (toe). Naturally, Ja'Marr Chase led the way by receiving 14 targets. However, Tinsley finished behind him […]

Andrei Iosivas Finds the End Zone on Thanksgiving

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Andrei Iosivas had only one catch for 29 yards in the Thanksgiving win over the Baltimore Ravens. However, the lone reception at least resulted in a trip to the end zone. Joe Burrow (toe) returned from his stint on the Injured Reserve list. While Mitchell Tinsley was targeted nine times, second […]

Ja'Marr Chase Helps Bengals Snap Four-Game Skid on Thanksgiving

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase returned from his one-game suspension in the Thanksgiving win over the Baltimore Ravens. The wideout played well, amassing seven catches off a team-high 14 targets for 110 yards (15.7 YPC). With Joe Burrow (toe) back on the field after two-plus months on the shelf, it didn't take the duo […]

Chase Brown Has Another Productive Showing on Thursday Night

Cincinnati Bengals running back Chase Brown looked good in the Thanksgiving win over the Baltimore Ravens. The 25-year-old didn't find the end zone, although he still got it done for fantasy managers by finishing with 78 yards off 15 carries (5.2 YPC) while catching all seven of his targets for 35 yards. The Bengals were […]

Joe Burrow Leads Bengals to a Win on Thanksgiving

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow (toe) made his return in Thursday's win over the Baltimore Ravens after being sidelined since the Week 2 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. The signal-caller showed signs of rust, although he still finished the night by throwing for 261 yards and two touchdowns. Granted, Burrow had trouble completing some of […]

Anthony Davis Reportedly Set to Return on Friday Night

According to ESPN's Shams Charania, Dallas Mavericks forward/center Anthony Davis (calf) will play on Friday versus the Los Angeles Lakers. AD suffered a left calf strain in the win over the Indiana Pacers on October 29. Although he was reportedly nearing a return in the last week or so, it appears he'll finally be back […]

Jonathan Kuminga Hoping to Return on Saturday Versus Pelicans

Golden State Warriors forward Jonathan Kuminga (knee) is hoping to return for Saturday's game against New Orleans. The 23-year-old, who recently scrimmaged on Wednesday afternoon, is working his way back from a knee injury, keeping him off the floor for the Dubs' last seven contests. Before going on the shelf, he was having a down […]

Stephen Curry to Undergo an MRI

Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry (quadriceps) will undergo an MRI after suffering a quad contusion in Wednesday's NBA Cup loss to the Houston Rockets. The multi-time All-Star had a rough time getting his shots to fall on Wednesday night, and he would go on to finish with 14 points while shooting 2-for-9 from behind […]

Mike Gesicki Has a Slightly Higher Ceiling in Week 13

Cincinnati Bengals tight end Mike Gesicki made his return from a stint on the Injured Reserve list for the Week 12 loss to the New England Patriots. While he didn't do much for fantasy managers, he didn't play horribly, finishing with four grabs for 35 yards. Of course, Ja'Marr Chase wasn't available for that one […]

Andrei Iosivas Expected to Remain More Involved in Week 13

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Andrei Iosivas took on a bigger role in the Week 12 meeting with the New England Patriots due to the suspension of Ja'Marr Chase. While he had only four catches, he still led the team in receiving yards (61) and targets (seven). With Tee Higgins (concussion) out for the Week 13 […]

Ja'Marr Chase Ready to Roll on Thanksgiving After Suspension

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase will return from a one-game absence for the Thanksgiving AFC North showdown versus Baltimore. The wideout remains a top fantasy option at the position. Although he has only five touchdowns, he has made up for it by totaling 79 catches for 861 yards, doing so without Joe Burrow (toe) […]

Chase Brown May See More Pass-Catching Chances Versus Baltimore

Cincinnati Bengals running back Chase Brown surpassed the 100-yard mark for the second time this season in the Week 12 loss to the New England Patriots. Although he didn't find the end zone, fantasy managers were still mostly satisfied with the result. With a productive showing in the rear-view mirror, Brown and company will look […]

Joe Burrow Looking to Keep Bengals Slim Playoff Hopes Alive on Thursday

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow (toe) was activated from the Injured Reserve list and will suit up for an AFC North clash with Baltimore on Thanksgiving. The signal-caller had been on the shelf after suffering a toe injury in the Week 2 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars, resulting in surgery. Naturally, fantasy managers are glad […]

Zach Edey Good to Go Versus New Orleans

Memphis Grizzlies center Zach Edey (illness) will play on Wednesday versus the New Orleans Pelicans. He logged only six minutes in Monday's loss to the Denver Nuggets because of a migraine headache and was listed as questionable heading into this one. Luckily, the 23-year-old will be on the floor. Edey is still working his way […]

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Available on Wednesday

Oklahoma City Thunder guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (illness) is cleared to suit up for Wednesday's meeting with Minnesota. He was listed as questionable because of an illness. However, after going through pre-game warmups, he feels well enough to play. It's unknown how sick he is, so there's a chance he may sit more than usual. Still, […]

Giannis Antetokounmpo Ruled Out on Wednesday Evening

Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo (adductor) won't play on Wednesday against Miami. He's missed the last three games with a left adductor strain. While it appeared there was a chance the multi-time All-Star would be back for this one, fantasy managers will need to wait a little longer. His next chance to suit up will […]

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander a Game-Time Decision on Wednesday

Oklahoma City Thunder guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (illness) is currently questionable for Wednesday's meeting with Minnesota. Fantasy managers should already be planning for his absence. However, it's not a lock he'll be sidelined, with SGA planning to warm up to see how he feels. If Gilgeous-Alexander isn't available, it will be all hands on deck, although […]

Trendon Watford Won't Return to NBA Cup Meeting with Orlando

Philadelphia 76ers forward Trendon Watford (adductor) will not return to Tuesday's NBA Cup clash with the Orlando Magic. With Philly down Joel Embiid (knee), Kelly Oubre Jr. (knee), Paul George (ankle) and VJ Edgecombe (calf), Watford was in line for extra action. Unfortunately, he suffered a left adductor strain near the end of the first […]

Corey Kispert Suffers Thumb Injury on Tuesday Night

Washington Wizards forward Corey Kispert (thumb) exited Tuesday's NBA Cup win over the Atlanta Hawks. He did not return. The 26-year-old was well on his way to having his best game of the 2025 campaign before a right thumb injury ended his night after 24 minutes. He'd go on to finish with 19 points, three […]

Marvin Bagley III Ruled Out Versus Atlanta

Washington Wizards forward/center Marvin Bagley III (hip) won't play on Tuesday versus the Hawks, marking his third-straight absence. The former Duke Blue Devil has averaged only 7.6 points and 4.4 rebounds in 15.8 minutes per contest this season, so there aren't very many fantasy managers awaiting his return. While there might be streaming opportunities down […]

Luke Kennard Available on Tuesday Night

Atlanta Hawks guard Luke Kennard (hip) is available for Tuesday's NBA Cup clash with the Washington Wizards after missing Sunday's win over the Charlotte Hornets. The 29-year-old has seen steady minutes for Atlanta this season (22.1 minutes per contest). He is also averaging 8.1 points and 44.2% shooting from behind the arc. However, despite a […]

Nicolas Claxton Cleared to Face New York

Brooklyn Nets center Nicolas Claxton (quadriceps) will play on Monday against the Knicks. The 26-year-old carried an injury designation because of a sprained elbow heading into Sunday's loss to the Toronto Raptors. He ended up getting the green light for that one, finishing with a 10-point, 11-rebound double-double with two blocks. Fortunately, his latest injury, […]

Tyler Herro Making 2025 Debut on Monday

Miami Heat guard Tyler Herro (ankle) will play on Monday versus Dallas. The 25-year-old averaged a career-high 23.9 points last season. Unfortunately, he's been working his way back from multiple injuries. It's possible Herro has some rust to shake off in his first game in nearly eight months. However, with Norman Powell (groin) and Andrew […]

Jaden Ivey, Caris LeVert Available Versus Indiana

Detroit Pistons guards Jaden Ivey (return to competition conditioning) and Caris LeVert (foot) will play in Indiana on Monday night. Ivey made his 2025 campaign debut in Saturday's win over the Milwaukee Bucks, finishing with 10 points in 15 minutes of work. As far as LeVert is concerned, he was listed as probable heading into […]

Anthony Davis Downgraded on Monday Night

Dallas Mavericks forward/center Anthony Davis (calf) won't play on Monday versus Miami. He's already missed 13 games because of the calf injury. While there are some reports indicating AD is inching his way closer to a return, fantasy managers will need to see it to believe it. With Dereck Lively II (foot) also sidelined, Daniel […]

RJ Barrett Sidelined Versus Cleveland

Toronto Raptors forward RJ Barrett (knee) won't play on Monday versus Cleveland. The former Knick sprained his left knee in Sunday's win over the Brooklyn Nets. Unfortunately, it will cost him his first game of the 2025 campaign, although it appears he may miss more time beyond Monday night. In the meantime, Gradey Dick and […]

Mitchell Robinson Under the Weather, Out Versus Brooklyn

New York Knicks center Mitchell Robinson (illness) won't play on Monday versus the Brooklyn Nets, marking his sixth absence of the 2025 campaign. The 27-year-old isn't hurt, which is always a plus for fantasy managers, considering his lengthy injury history. However, he's not feeling well, marking his first absence since November 11. With that in […]
