Washington Nationals relief pitcher Trevor Gott has been optioned to Triple-A Syracuse on Monday. Gott posted a 4.96 ERA during 18 relief appearances with the Nats this season. The Nats are expected to activate Stephen Strasburg (shoulder) off the DL on Friday, so this opens up a spot on the 25-man roster.
