Austin Ekeler fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 3 (2024). Should you start or sit Austin Ekeler for fantasy football lineups?
BALLER MOVE: Start in 12+ Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: RB36
ANALYSIS: Washington Commanders running back Austin Ekeler’s fantasy value is limited because of Brian Robinson Jr. The former Alabama star is the RB12, averaging 15.3 half-point PPR fantasy points per game over the first two weeks. However, Ekeler has been productive for fantasy players. He is the RB29, averaging 9.1 fantasy points per game.
The veteran running back is coming off an impressive Week 2 performance, totaling 11 touches for 85 scrimmage yards, including three receptions for 47 receiving yards. While he hasn’t been a dynamic runner, Ekeler has been a factor in the passing game, leading the team in receiving yards.
Rumors of Austin Ekeler’s demise were greatly exaggerated. He’s got juice.

Fantasy players can start the veteran as a low-end RB3 or solid flex option in Week 3. The Commanders face the Cincinnati Bengals on Monday night. Cincinnati has surrendered 126 rushing yards and 18.4 fantasy points per game this season. Ekeler should see an uptick in targets in this game, with the Bengals being heavy favorites.

As you'll see in this week's Fact or Fiction column, it was a good week to face the Dallas Cowboys defense, though it's kind of always a good week to take on Dallas. The Cowboys' defense has allowed the most passing touchdowns in the league and the second-most passing yards. Additionally, the Dallas run defense […]

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Sterling Shepard, San Francisco 49ers WR Deebo Samuel (heel), and Kansas City Chiefs wideout Marquise Brown are all playing football this week. The tight end position is often a wasteland year after year in fantasy. And with six teams on bye this week, it creates an even messier situation for fantasy managers to navigate. The wide receiver position can be volatile at times. A combination of injuries, matchups, changes in week-to-week usage, injuries to other receivers, injuries to quarterbacks, and luck with game scripts can heavily influence their production. In many fantasy leagues, teams on the playoff bubble don't have the luxury of being able to endure low-scoring games […]

Some fantasy managers play in deep leagues. Some are in dynasty leagues with massive starting rosters and benches. Some have redraft leagues with three starting wide receiver spots, or three starting flex spots, and the like. Not every league has the standard lineup of two WRs and one flex spot. So players like San Francisco […]
