BALLER MOVE: Start in 12+ Team PPR Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: WR3/4
ANALYSIS: Cleveland Browns wide receiver Amari Cooper rates as a borderline WR3/4 play for Week 12's game against the Denver Broncos.
Cooper's an extremely talented receiver, but uncertainty at QB for the Browns puts him in a dicey spot. Cooper has averaged 15.37 PPR points per game with an average of 5.0 receptions for 83.67 yards in six games this season with Deshaun Watson at quarterback, but Watson won't be the QB this weekend. Cooper's averaging 9.93 PPR points in the four games started by another player, and he's done even worse in the two games started by Dorian Thompson-Robinson. With Watson done for the year, Cooper's ceiling takes a hit.
Dorian Thompson-Robinson has made two starts this year and both were poor games for Cooper. In the first against Baltimore, he caught just one of his six targets for 16 yards. Last week against Pittsburgh, he caught four of his eight targets for 34 yards.
Cooper's numbers with DTR under center are definitely concerning. His talent still gives him upside and he's worth starting as a flex option in 12-team PPR leagues because of it, but fantasy managers should temper their expectations as long as the rookie is starting at quarterback for the Browns.
