Welcome back for another week of daily fantasy NASCAR with Rotoballer. The second race of the Monster Energy Cup Series Playoffs has the teams heading back to Talladega Superspeedway for the Alabama 500 this Sunday.

Throw general strategy out the window here at Talladega as the track produces some crazy racing where we normally see multiple wrecks which are the cause of drafting at very high speeds. Looking at the cheatsheet and the last six races here, you can see that there have been multiple drivers to lead 20 or more laps but very rarely we get a driver that leads 50 or more(twice in last four races). one thing we can load up on, especially in cash games, is place differential as there have been at least 12 drivers to earn double-digit place differential points in three straight and five of the last six races here. Another strategy we can implement this week is stacking drivers on the same team as you will see them working together(drafting) up until the final lap. With all that said, let's jump in and have a look at the top picks.

Daily Fantasy NASCAR: DraftKings DFS Lineup Picks - Alabama 500

Top Stacks

Kevin Harvick($9,700) & Kurt Busch($8,300)

These two Stewart-Haas Racing teammates are my top stack this week as both come back with some nice history here at Talladega. Kurt Busch has finished Top 10 here in four straight and five of his last six races here. He will be more of a GPP play this week with limited place differential upside starting 7th but comes at a value price. Kevin Harvick hasn't been quite as good here ranking 7th in track history going back to the start of the 2015 season but comes in under $10K this week and will start back in the 22nd position giving him elite place differential upside.

Joey Logano($10,200) & Brad Keselowski($9,800)

This Team Penske stack is going to cost you quite a bit more this week but comes with a ton of upside as both drivers have been dominant here at Talladega. They have combined for six wins here in their career and Logano has won back to back playoff races here. He is not in the playoffs this time around but I think that helps keep his ownership a bit lower this time around. The other thing that makes them risky is the lack of place differential  Logano will start 3rd and Keselowski will start 6th.

Value Plays

Aric Almirola($6,300)

This is the week to go stars and scrubs as almost anyone can get a win here. It starts with Almirola who gives us close to elite place differential value starting 26th on Sunday. He has finished Top 10 here at Talladega in back to back races and 16th or better in four of his last five races here.

Cole Whitt($5,000)

At nearly minimum price this week, Cole Whitt is an excellent stars and scrubs play here at Talladega. He will be starting 38th giving him elite of place differential value and has finished 25th or better in six straight races here. Lock and load!
