BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues
ROSTERED: 48% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: Although the Lions were expecting rookie D'Andre Swift to be back this past weekend, he couldn't make it to the field (concussion) and missed his third consecutive game. That meant, of course, payday for veteran Adrian Peterson, as it's been the case now for two weeks in a row.
Peterson had a great Week 12 performance with Swift out, getting to his highest fantasy-point mark of the season with 17.5 PPR points. He rushed the ball 15 times for 55 yards, but most importantly crossed the goal line two times for two sweet scores. That seemed to be Pete's ceiling, but it turned out he still had a little bit more in the tank. That why this past Sunday Peterson scored a season-high 17.7 PPR points to the tune of 16 carries, 57 yards, and two more TDs.
With back-to-back 17-PPR-point games, Peterson clearly has regained his mojo and if Swift ends missing another game in W14 then Peterson should be, once more, an RB2 with RB1 upside for every fantasy GM. The Lions face the Packers Defense next and that unit ranks third-worst against fantasy rushers. The only thing making me write about AP as a 12+ Team leagues target is that if Swift is back (either this week or the next one) his upside will be cut too short for any other GM in sallower leagues.
