Raisel Iglesias Returns To Angels On Four-Year Deal
The Los Angeles Angles and closer Raisel Iglesias agreed to a four-year deal on Tuesday night, according to a source familiar with the deal. MLB Network's Jon Heyman is reporting that the deal is worth $58 million. The 31-year-old right-hander turned down the team's qualifying offer, but he'll return to Anaheim after an excellent 2021 season in which he had a 2.57 ERA with 34 saves in 65 appearances. Iglesias struck out 103 batters and walked only 12 in 70 innings for a career-best 8.58 strikeout-to-walk ratio. He finished 11th in the American League Cy Young voting. He has a 3.06 ERA with a 1.09 WHIP and has struck out 29.7% of the hitters he's faced since debuting in 2015 with the Cincinnati Reds.
