FanDuel NBA DFS Lineup Picks (12/1/21): Daily Fantasy Basketball Advice

LaMelo Ball - Charlotte Hornets

John Brubaker highlights the top FanDuel NBA DFS lineup picks for 12/1/21, and a couple of sleepers to consider while building daily rosters.

Happy Wednesday, RotoBallers, and welcome to December! I hope this week of NBA DFS has treated you well. I'm continuing to work on my NBA model, trying to gather more information to make sure all of you are as armed as possible going into each slate. Even with the small adjustments I've made so far, it seems to be working. I'm trying to implement different factors to separate cash options against GPP options. I'll continue to keep you all updated with the adjustments I make, and with all of that said, let's get to tonight!

Tonight we have a big slate, with nine games on tap. With FanDuel adding multi-position eligibility players, we'll have to attack slates a bit differently to make our lineups as optimal as possible. That's where I come in! I'll look to find my personal top plays and values for tonight's slate. Things can change during the day as well, so I'll do my best to update as news comes out!

Here are my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for FanDuel on 12/1/21. You can also check out today's DraftKings NBA DFS lineup picks. Keep an eye on RotoBaller’s injury news to stay up to date before lineups are locked.

FanDuel Guards - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Malcolm Brogdon, PG/SG - vs ATL ($7,200)

Malcolm Brogdon's performances have been a bit up and down this season, however, this price still feels a little cheap considering he's hit at least 5x value at this price in four of his last five games. He gets a strong matchup against Atlanta, who comes in 29th in the NBA in point guard efficiency. In what should be a high-scoring game, my early projections have Brogdon at 38 FanDuel points even, hitting north of 5x value once again.

Spencer Dinwiddie, PG - vs MIN ($6,100)

Dinwiddie has been a solid pickup for the surprising Wizards, though his recent performances have me wary enough that I can't consider him in cash. I would recommend him in GPP though, as my early projections line him up for 31.01 FanDuel points tonight, north of 5x value. Minnesota is in the top ten in point guard efficiency, but I expect these teams to battle it out and Dinwiddie to be in the mix, picking up rebounds and assists.

Kelly Oubre, SG/SF - at MIL ($5,600)

Oubre has been on absolute fire of late, topping 5x value in each of his last four games. He's logged an average of 38.7 FanDuel points in his last two games and is primed for another solid game tonight. The matchup is tough, but the Hornets will need Oubre to deliver tonight as they take on the reigning champs. I'd consider him a nice value play if you want a piece of this matchup, or try and correlate him with Giannis and don't want to pay up for LaMelo. My projections have Oubre at 28.84 FanDuel points in 33 minutes, so you're getting solid value here.

Also consider: Lou Williams ($3,600), Tyrese Haliburton ($6,300)

FanDuel Forwards - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Paul George, SF/SG - vs SAC ($8,600)

George has cooled down from his early-season onslaught, but his price has dropped accordingly, creating somewhat of a value spot for him. The Clippers got embarrassed by the Pelicans on Monday night, so they should come into this one with a bit of an edge. They get the Kings on a back-to-back tonight, who are solid in small forward efficiency but rank 29th in shooting guard efficiency. As long as PG moves around the floor and is handling the ball, he should be in for a big game tonight. My early projections have him at 45.45 FanDuel points, well over 5x value.

Bobby Portis, PF/C - vs CHA ($6,500)

Bobby Portis is a fantasy cheat code whenever he gets the minutes, and with Brook Lopez out with injury, he's been getting those minutes. He's a 1.09 Fanduel point-per-minute player and could get even more of a boost tonight if Jordan Nwora sits. Not to mention he gets a very strong matchup with Charlotte, who ranks in the bottom tier of both power forward and center efficiency and will be without starting center Mason Plumlee for the fourth straight game. My projections have Portis at 32.93 FanDuel points tonight.

P.J. Washington, PF/C - at MIL ($4,900)

On the other side of this game, we have P.J. Washington. Washington has missed quite a bit of this season but has looked reasonably strong when he plays. Considering his price, Washington is a solid value option, as he's played 30+ minutes in back-to-back games. He'll most likely be coming off of the bench, so I'd recommend him as a GPP play, but my early projections have him at 31.73 FanDuel points, good for 6.47x value.

Also consider: Kevin Huerter ($4,800), Will Barton ($6,400)

FanDuel Centers - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Nikola Jokic, C - vs BKN ($11,000)

The reigning MVP came back with a vengeance on Monday after missing four games with a wrist injury, logging 24 points, 15 rebounds, and seven assists against Miami. He now gets a strong matchup against Orlando, who rank 24th in center efficiency. The blowout factor is always something to consider in these types of matchups, but I anticipate that Jokic will put up good enough numbers for the blowout not to matter in the end. My projections have him at 58.45 FanDuel points.

Wendell Carter Jr., C/PF - vs DEN ($6,500)

It feels like I've been writing up Carter on every one of these articles, but if it's not broken, don't fix it. I wrote him up on Friday prior to his game in Chicago where he logged 29 minutes and 47 FanDuel points. His price has jumped $1,000 since then, but he remains a solid play. He had a tough go against the Sixers on Monday, but he played 33 minutes which is an optimistic sign. He now gets a better matchup against Denver who ranks 14th in center efficiency (Philadelphia is ranked 7th), as he looks to continue his hot streak. My projections have Carter at 36.22 FanDuel points tonight, good enough for the second-highest valued on the slate, just behind P.J. Washington.

Also consider: Karl Anthony-Towns ($8,800), Jarrett Allen ($7,700)
