ANALYSIS: If you didn't hear, Derrick Henry is slated to be out for quite a while, and he was a pretty significant portion of the Titans offense. In response, the Titans have made a few key additions to the backfield, and aside from signing Adrian Peterson, they also called up 2017 third-round draftee D'Onta Foreman from the practice squad. Though it has been a few years since he's seen consistent action, his first week of activity in 2021 projects positively moving forward.
In a 28-16 victory over the Rams this past week, despite taking only five carries compared to ten for Peterson and seven for Jeremy McNichols, Foreman led the Titans in rushing yards with 29. Peterson and Ryan Tannehill ended up making it into the end zone for Tennessee, and Peterson/McNichols both saw targets out of the passing game, but in an offense looking to fill one of the biggest usage gaps in the NFL, starting off as the team's most efficient ball-carrier is a pretty solid start for the former Texas Longhorn. For being virtually unowned across the board, D'Onta Foreman is a no-brainer shot to take in deeper leagues.
