Kevin Harvick had the best average finish of every active racer over the previous six races at Texas. Not only had he won twice, but there was that feeling he might finish in the top five. Sure enough, the No. 4 car survived all that carnage and ended up fifth. He was 11th after Stage 1 but fourth after Stage 2. In the end, even his pit crew's miscues did not keep him out of the top five. At the restart, Harvick just got not get the speed needed to pass much of anyone. It was a theme too often during this race. Once Harvick got going, he had a faster car. The problem is the last restart offered no time to do so. --Chris Wassel - RotoBaller
