DraftKings Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks (10/3/21): MLB DFS Lineups

The top daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings on 10/3/21. Mike Marteny's MLB DFS analysis and sleepers for building optimal DFS rosters.

Here we are. We have reached the end of the line for the MLB regular season. We here at Rotoballer will keep you company through the playoffs for DFS as well, but this is the last big one. All 30 teams start at the same time across the country today. That never happens, so enjoy it!

The roof should be closed in Toronto due to rain. Rain is going to be a real problem in several areas. It looks worst in Pittsburgh, Chicago, and St. Louis, but Atlanta wont finish if the game drags. Once the rain starts, it isn't stopping for a while. The N.L. spots are all decided, but there are four teams fighting for two playoff spots. We could conceivably have a four-way tie for the A.L. Wild Card at the end of the day. Luckily, none of those four are affected by the weather.

This article will provide you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings on 10/3/2021. The lineup will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. You can also check out today's FanDuel MLB DFS lineup picks and read more DFS advice and lineup picks for other sports too. DraftKings DFS Starting Pitchers

Chris Sale - BOS at WAS ($9,900)

Let's see....who has something to play for? Sale is one of the few, and by far the best option. Pitching will be a mess on the last day, but Boston can host the Wild Card game with a win, so there's a lot riding on this for them. They don't want to have to play in tomorrow. Boston wants a couple of days off. You can bet they'll let Sale go as long as he needs to. Of course, if they run off and leave Washington – which is entirely possible with the team trotting out Joan Adon, who started the season at High-A Wilmington – Sale might be preserved to start the Wild Card game. There's still a ton of risk here, but Sale has the most upside.

Reiver Sanmartin - CIN at PIT ($8,200)

Pitching is rough today. Thor is back, but he is on a very strict (and very low) pitch count. Tyler Anderson got roughed up by the Angels last week. Taillon feels expensive. So does Sale. Ryu has struggled over the last month or so. If you really don't want to trust any of them, Sanmartin might be in a good spot. He put up 21.2 DraftKings points in his major league debut last week against this same Pirates team. He wont go really deep into the game, but he could put up strong numbers in his five or six innings.

Other Options: Jameson Taillon ($9,000), Tyler Anderson ($8,500), Hyun-Jin Ryu ($7,700)

DraftKings DFS Infielders

Salvador Perez - C, KC vs. MIN ($5,400)

You know Salvy is going to be in the lineup as he tries to bring a MVP award to Kansas City. The writers are too shallow to ever vote for someone on a losing team now since individual feats matter little to today's voters, but it has been a historic season for Perez. His reward is polishing it off against the pitching machine known as the Minnesota Twins staff.

Anthony Rizzo - 1B, NYY vs. TB ($5,200)

The Yankees need a win, and the Rays are doing them a solid by throwing Michael Wacha out there. The entire team has hit Wacha well, but Rizzo has in particular. Rizzo is familiar with Wacha from their days in the N.L. Central. Rizzo is 21-for-46(.457) with three homers, ten runs, seven RBI, and a steal against Wacha in his career. Most of those appearances were when Wacha was a good pitcher....

Gleyber Torres - 2B, NYY vs. TB ($4,800)

I'm targeting teams that need wins today since those players are much more likely to play most or all of the game. Torres only has nine homers on the season, but three of those have come in the last three weeks. Wacha has allowed 26 homers on the season, so there is potential here in hitter-friendly Yankee Stadium.

Santiago Espinal - 3B, TOR vs. BAL ($2,500)

We need to go cheap somewhere. Espinal is where. He is hitting .454 over the eight games since returning from the IL. He doesn't have much for counting stats, but Espinal has still scored double-digit DraftKings points in four straight games. He can help. I promise.

Bo Bichette - SS, TOR vs. BAL ($5,700)

Bichette is a big reason why the Blue Jays are still fighting for that Wild Card spot. He is hitting .346 with eight homers and 21 RBI in the last month. He has hit a blistering .478 in the last week with three homers in the past four games. His next homer will be number 30. I'll say he gets it today!

DraftKings DFS Outfielders

Aaron Judge - OF, NYY vs. TB ($5,900)

Judge is one homer shy of 40 and three RBI shy of 100. You think players don't keep track of these things? Oh, they do. Some for reasons of pride. Some because of bonuses in their contracts. Just like Boston, the Yankees would rather not have to play again tomorrow. That's a lot of motivation for Judge, both on a personal and team level.

Mitch Haniger - OF, SEA vs. LAA ($4,800)

Do you want to bet against Haniger right now? He has five homers and a staggering 16 RBI in the last ten games. 12 of those have come in the last five! Haniger is carrying the Mariners on his back right now and the finish line is still in sight. The Mariners need some help to continue this unlikely run, but you can bet that Haniger is going to do his part to make sure the Mariners still have a shot if someone stumbles.

Austin Meadows - OF, TB at NYY($4,100)

Meadows has only faced Jameson Taillon six times in his career. He has homered off of him twice and reached base three times while driving in three. You know the Rays would like to play spoiler. Well, as much as they can while still throwing Wacha out there....

  • Toronto Blue Jays vs. Bruce Zimmerman
