Daily Fantasy Baseball Streamers - Waiver Wire Picks for Wednesday 8/11

Top daily fantasy baseball streamers and waiver wire adds for 8/11/21. Juan Carlos Blanco identifies MLB hitters and starting pitchers to stream based on matchups.

Baseball is back, and fantasy managers in daily leagues no doubt already have holes to fill. The easiest way to do that is with streamers. Fortunately, RotoBaller has you covered with daily streaming picks.

Each day, RotoBaller will provide you with some of the best fantasy baseball streaming picks - options to consider in fantasy baseball daily leagues. Additionally, these recommendations can be useful for fantasy managers setting DFS lineups.

We're set for another Wednesday split slate that has some particularly favorable matchups for certain hitters, as there are a number of vulnerable pitchers on the hill. We also have a pair of very solid pitching options that are low-rostered enough to stream in their respective strong scenarios Wednesday.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy baseball lineup tools and resources:

Roster percentages referenced are from Yahoo! leagues.

Hitter Streamers for 8/11 - Shallow Leagues

Cesar Hernandez (2B, CWS) - 41% rostered

Matchup: vs. MIN RHP Bailey Ober

The switch-hitting Hernandez offers solid left-handed exposure to Ober, who's allowed a .373 average and .490 wOBA to lefty bats. Meanwhile, Hernandez has more home runs when facing southpaws but a better average against right-handed pitching (.245). He's also been consistently squaring up on the ball over the last month plus, generating a .371 wOBA and .880 OPS since July 1.

Harrison Bader (OF, STL) 28% rostered

Matchup: @ PIT RHP Wil Crowe

The right-handed Crowe has been taken to task in same-handed matchups all season, and righty bats have gotten to him for a .308 average, .412 wOBA and massive 3.3 HR/9 at PNC Park. Bader therefore makes for a good right-handed streaming option against him, especially considering his .333 average, 1.076 OPS, .442 wOBA and .333 ISO against righty arms on the road.

Austin Nola (C, 1B, 2B, SDP) -37% rostered

Matchup: vs. MIA RHP Sandy Alcantara

Nola checks in with one of the hottest bats in the majors, as he's posted a .519/.517/.667 slash line with four doubles and nine RBI over his last 10 games. He's uncharacteristically struggled against right-handed pitching this season (.217 average), but he still has a .351 OBP against righties and boasts a .280/.355/.447 slash line versus that handedness since the start of the 2019 season.  Meanwhile, Alcantara has struggled of late, getting hammered for 10 runs at Coors his last time out and pitching to a 5.91 ERA in his last seven trips to the mound overall, and he owns a 4.86 ERA and 1.2 HR/9 across 66.2 road innings.

Lorenzo Cain (OF, MIL) -25% rostered

Matchup: @ CHC RHP Jake Arrieta

Cain has been running hot at the plate since returning from the injured list, posting a .341/.364/.439 slash line over his last 11 games. The veteran outfielder gets a crack at a vulnerable and familiar target in Arrieta, who he's pounded for a .375 average and .412 OBP across 17 career plate appearances. Arrieta has also given up a .313 average, .408 wOBA and 3.1 HR/9 to right-handed bats at Wrigley, while Cain has a .291 average, .935 OPS and .397 wOBA against righties on the road.

Hitter Streamers for 8/11 - Deeper Leagues

Andy Ibanez (1B, 2B, 3B, TEX)- 1% rostered

Matchup: @ SEA LHP Tyler Anderson

Ibanez only sports a .210/.260/.343 slash line, but he typically hits out of the heart of the order and also boasts a .353 average and .899 OPS against left-handed pitching across 54 plate appearances. Meanwhile, Anderson has allowed a .266 average and .335 wOBA to right-handed hitters, along with an elevated 24.2 percent line-drive rate and  1.8 HR/9.

Corey Dickerson (OF, TOR) - 3% rostered

Matchup: @ LAA RHP Dylan Bundy

Bundy's career-long problems keeping the ball in the park have continued this season, as he sports a 1.9 HR/9. He's also pitched to a .318 average and .431 wOBA against left-handed hitters in his home park, while Dickerson has a .281 average, .781 OPS and .342 wOBA when facing right-handed pitching on the road this season with either Miami or Toronto.

Chas McCormick (OF, HOU) - 2% rostered

Matchup: vs. COL LHP Antonio Senzatela

Senzatela has actually had a more difficult time outside of Coors Field than on the road this season, and he's pitched to a .303 BAA, .351 wOBA and 1.7 HR/9 against right-handed bats when traveling. McCormick has been blistering hot thus far in August with a .393 average, 1.000 OPS and .426 wOBA in 28 plate appearances, and he's posted a .286 average and .351 wOBA versus right-handed pitching at home.

Miguel Cabrera (1B, DET) 9% rostered

Matchup: @ BAL RHP Matt Harvey

Cabrera has a brief but successful history against Harvey (.625 average across 8 PAs), who's also surrendered a .333 average and .399 wOBA to right-handed hitters at Camden Yards. Cabrera has hit six of his seven home runs on the season off right-handed pitching on the road, and he checks into Wednesday's contest with a .334 wOBA thus far in August.

Pitcher Streamers for 8/11 - Shallow Leagues

Cal Quantrill (SP, CLE) - 57% rostered

Matchup: vs. OAK RHP Frankie Montas

Quantrill checks into Wednesday's matchup running hot, as he's pitched to a 0.90 ERA, 0.97 WHIP and 0.3 HR/9 over the 30 innings covering his last five starts. The right-hander faced these same A's to begin that stretch, allowing just an earned run over five innings on July 17. He's also pitched to a 2.79 ERA and 1.16 WHIP at home on his way to a 2-0 record, while the Athletics check in with a .222 average, .278 wOBA and -8.0 wRAA against righties on the road thus far in the second half of the season.

Pitcher Streamers for 8/11 - Deeper Leagues

Ryan Weathers (SP, SDP) - 19% rostered

Matchup: vs. MIA RHP Sandy Alcantara

Weathers has undeniably been a bit up and down, with that encapsulated perfectly by the fact he's allowed 14 earned runs across his last two starts after going into that stretch with a 4-2 record and 2.73 ERA. Nevertheless, he draws an excellent matchup through which he can ideally right his ship Wednesday, as the Marlins own a 30.2 percent strikeout rate against left-handed pitching on the road since the All-Star break, and a .283 wOBA and -5.6 wRAA in that split since July 1.
