DraftKings CBB DFS Lineup Picks for 3/20/21 - Daily Fantasy College Basketball Advice

CBB DFS lineup picks DraftKings NCAA daily college fantasy basketball

Mike Marteny offers his DraftKings daily fantasy college basketball sleepers for 3/20/21. His CBB DFS lineup picks and sleepers will help you win on DraftKings.

We are (basket)balls deep into the NCAA tournament now, and it's a glorious feeling! 20 games down, 32 to go to finish out this weekend of blissful chaos. So what if your bracket is shot? You start right back at zero with everyone else when you chase DFS. Aside from a NCAA Tournament Calcutta, this is the most excitement you can have! Let's jump into this next  16-game monster!

Gonzaga-Norfolk State is the only game that tops 150 in the implied totals and it's not because Vegas expects the Spartans to hang around. The Bulldogs are favored by a staggering 34 points! I will likely fade that entire game. So we look at games in the 140's. The only game in the 140's with a spread under double digits is LSU-St. Bonaventure. Missouri and Oklahoma just crept above 140 as well. Honestly, the implied totals mean more during the regular season. With a lot of these schools from one-bid conferences, they have one star that can still score well even in a big loss. Identifying those can set your lineup apart.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy college basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on 3/20/21. I’ll be providing multiple player suggestions for players at guard and forward, aiming to highlight one option apiece at the high, middle, and lower end of the salary scale. Good luck, RotoBallers.

DraftKings CBB DFS Guards

Herbert Jones, Alabama ($8,900)

The Tide are a very balanced team, but when they need someone to take over the game, it's Jones. They needed him against both Tennessee and LSU to win the SEC tournament. Jones answered the bell with 97 DraftKings points over those two games. Iona is a good team and Rick Pitino is their coach. I don't think you can ever count them out. If you think the Gaels hang around, Jones should be anchored in your lineup. Of course, the downside is that if Iona gets blown out, Jones will be a non-factor. In the first round of the SEC tourney against Mississippi State, Jones played just 17 minutes but still had 37.25 DraftKings points in the big win. That score wont help much if you're paying this much for it though.

Cameron Thomas, LSU ($7,900)

Thomas continued with his consistent ways all the way through the SEC tournament, playing 119 of the 120 minutes. Thomas has between 25 and 40 DraftKings points in every game for the last two months. He doesn't have the ceiling that some in front of him have, but he's also not priced up like most of the big favorites are. This will be a close game and should be fairly high scoring on both sides. Thomas is one of the safer plays at any level today. Javonte Smart may have more upside if you're looking for leverage in a GPP.

Jaime Jaquez, UCLA ($7,200)

Jaquez carried UCLA down the stretch against Michigan State after Johnny Juzang injured his ankle. Fortunately, Juzang appears to have escaped any serious damage, but with such a quick turnaround, it's going to be difficult for Juzang to take on as large of a role as he normally does. I expect Jaquez to be the guy that steps up again. This is a winnable game for the Bruins, who finally seem to be hitting their stride. Thursday night proved who the leader of this team is, and he's available at a reasonable price.

Mark Smith, Missouri ($4,400)

As has been the case since Smith joined the starting lineup in the middle of February, he is underpriced. Smith isn't a high volume or a high usage guy, but he's active defensively and a capable scorer. He doesn't have a ton of upside, but he's the kind of value play that can get you close to 5x value with a good floor. Not many can do that.

Also consider: Austin Reaves, Oklahoma ($8,800); Marcus Garrett, Kansas ($7,800); Jahvon Quinerly, Alabama ($7,000); Asante Gist, Iona ($5,100); Alondes Williams, Oklahoma ($3,800)

DraftKings CBB DFS Forwards

Evan Mobley, USC ($9,500)

Drake was able to have success on Thursday by going after Wichita State on the interior. That wont happen here. The Mobleys have locked down the middle this year. Drake has some size, but I still don't see anyone that can handle what Evan Mobley brings to the table. He's an elite scorer and one of the better rebounders on the left coast. Drake is going to give them a fight, which is all the more reason to ride Mobley. He had back-to-back games over 50 DraftKings points before bowing out of the Pac 12 tournament.

Sam Hauser, Virginia ($8,300)

Hauser poses a big problem for Ohio, so long as he's not one of the guys affected by COVID. The Bobcats are a lot of things, but big is not one of them. Virginia excels when they bully teams with their size and stifling defense. Hauser isn't a one trick pony though. He can score. He average 16 points per game this season. He's about the only accomplished scorer that the Cavs have. Ohio is a live dog here. Hauser is going to have to use his size to have a big game to avoid the upset. Jay Huff will be a problem for the Bobcats too.

Balsa Koprivica, Florida State ($6,500)

The Seminoles put Koprivica in the starting lineup for the ACC Tournament and it paid huge dividends. Koprivica put up 69.75 DraftKings points in the two games. He's a strong inside presence that should give Greensboro fits. He's not one of those guys that stands on the outside and shoots. Koprivica hasn't even attempted a three point shot since February 15. He's a post presence that could eat the undersized Spartans alive.

Isaiah Mobley, USC ($5,200)

What's good for one brother is good for the other. Drake can't handle the size of Evan or Isaiah here. This Mobley isn't the dynamic player that his brother is, but he could be one that takes on a big role here. ShanQuan Hemphill is the interior presence that Drake needs, but he just played his first game in five weeks against the Shockers on Thursday and only lasted ten minutes. That leaves Darnell Brodie to try and deal with two Mobleys. The math doesn't add up. One or both of USC's duo will have a big game. I'm betting on both.

Also consider: Trendon Watford, LSU ($8,700); Eugene Omoruyi, Oregon ($7,800); Brady Manek, Oklahoma ($6,400); Evan Battey, Colorado ($5,000)
