FanDuel NBA DFS Lineup Picks (2/20/21): Daily Fantasy Basketball Advice

Dennis Clausen highlights the top FanDuel NBA DFS lineup picks for 2/20/21, and a couple of sleepers to consider while building daily rosters.

Make sure you take a nap because we have some late ones taking place on Saturday night. During the loaded, nine-game slate on Friday night, we witnessed some notable fantasy outings, specifically from Nikola Vucevic, who racked up a 30-point triple-double against the Golden State Warriors, a team that has been vulnerable in the middle without James Wiseman and Kevon Looney. Jamal Murray also had a career-high 50 points during the win over the Cleveland Cavaliers, while Joel Embiid finished with one-point less against the Hawks. Lastly, we can’t forget about Chris Paul, who dished out nineteen assists for a Suns squad that is looking fantastic in 2021.

While we only have five games on the agenda, there are still plenty of opportunities on the value end, especially in Los Angeles as the Lakers will be without Anthony Davis and Dennis Schroder. Some more value opportunities may open up on the Kings if Harrison Barnes, Richaun Holmes, or Glenn Robinson III aren’t in the lineup. In Chicago, the team will continue to be without Lauri Markkanen and Otto Porter, which should once again open up some minutes up front.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for FanDuel on 2/20/21. These DFS lineup picks can vary from higher-priced players and elite options to lower-priced players and value picks on FanDuel. You can also check out DraftKings lineup picks and injury news before lineups lock. FanDuel DFS Guards

Damian Lillard, PG - vs. WSH ($9,900)

Lillard should be considered a value option on Saturday night as he should have a DFS rostering cost north of $10,000, primarily after how well he has played since the injuries of C.J. McCollum and Jusuf Nurkic.

The veteran is averaging nearly 30 points during the 2021 campaign. He is also shooting over 38 percent from deep and recently tied his career-high 20.4 attempts per game from the field. He will have a favorable matchup against one of the worst defensive teams in the league, the Washington Wizards. The likelihood that Lillard will do something special is higher than usual. However, he should get plenty of attention from the DFS community for those looking to play the contrarian role.

LaMelo Ball, PG - vs. GSW ($7,800)

Ball is well on his way to capturing the Rookie of the Year award and has made an even bigger case for himself as of late. The 19-year-old has been enjoying some extra run recently, primarily with the injuries of Terry Rozier, Devonte’ Graham, and Gordon Hayward.

The No. 3 overall pick in the 2020 NBA draft is averaging 20.9 points, 6.9 boards, and 6.3 assists in February. He is also shooting almost 44 percent from deep and has hit at least 44.2 fantasy points in each of his previous two outings. Keep him on the radar against Golden State on Saturday night.

Also Consider: Stephen Curry ($10,000), Russell Westbrook ($9,200), De’Aaron Fox ($8,100), Tomas Satoransky ($3,900), Alex Caruso ($3,900), Tyus Jones ($3,900), De’Anthony Melton ($3,800), Andrew Wiggins ($6,400), Gary Trent Jr. ($5,500), Tyrese Haliburton ($5,400), Desmond Bane ($3,900)

FanDuel DFS Forwards

Kelly Oubre Jr., SF - @ CHA ($6,600)

Stephen Curry can’t do it all, but luckily, Oubre is beginning to get comfortable with his latest team. He continues to log heavy minutes from game-to-game and has recorded at least 36 in each of his previous two games.

During those two games, he has hit at least 43.6 fantasy points. According to the oddsmakers in Vegas, this game should be one of the highest-scoring affairs on the night. As a result, there should be additional opportunities for everyone involved to benefit from a production standpoint.

Garrett Temple, SF - vs. SAC ($4,200)

With Otto Porter and Lauri Markkanen out of the mix for the Bulls, there have been some extra minutes up for grabs. Yes, rookie Patrick Williams and Thaddeus Young are in the equation to scoop up some additional time on the floor, but Temple has also benefited.

He has been getting more minutes than Denzel Valentine, racking up at least 30 in each of his previous five games, and is averaging nearly 25 fantasy points during that same span. He is a candidate to surpass his DFS value by far and can provide adequate relief for those looking to include the more expensive rostering options.

Also Consider: Gordon Hayward ($7,300), Derrick Jones Jr. ($4,400), P.J. Washington ($5,600), Xavier Tillman ($4,100),

FanDuel DFS Centers

Wendell Carter Jr., C - vs. SAC ($5,800)

Carter recently returned after missing some time due to a quad injury. He is slowly beginning to get an increase in minutes, and even though they will still be capped on Saturday night against the Kings, the former Blue Devil can still make a dent on the fantasy end.

In his previous three games, he is averaging over a fantasy point per minute, which should give him enough wiggle room to at least hit his value. His ceiling is higher than that, so fantasy managers will want to keep him in mind, especially with such a generous DFS asking price.

Also Consider: Deandre Ayton ($6,600), Enes Kanter ($6,200), Cody Zeller ($5,100)
