NFL wide receiver Jamison Crowder is a potential 2020 fantasy football PPR sleeper and ADP draft value. Target the undervalued WR in fantasy football PPR drafts.
BALLER MOVE: Target Around ~85 Overall
CURRENT ADP: ~109
ANALYSIS: Last season, the Jets featured Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde on offense. While WR Robby Anderson (who finished the year with 779 receiving yards on 52 catches for 5 TDs) was the quick, deep threat to use on long boom/bust passes, Jamison Crowder (833 yards, 78 receptions, 6 TDs) played the safety valve role. That's why Anderson had an average AYT of 14.2 (14th-highest in the NFL) compared to Crowder's 7.3 (98th-highest). Crowder is the ultimate PPR asset at the wide receiver position. He's a short-pass catcher, reliable, and his floor is always going to be high because of the way he's used and how he can rack up reception-points that way.
Things have not changed much in New York. Flip Anderson for newly acquired Brashad Perriman, and add rookie Denzel Mims to the equation but don't expect the latter to get a lot of opportunities from Crowder. In fact, PFF has Crowder projected as the no. 1 WR of the Jets in terms of targets (119) and target share (25.3%, including all Jets RBs/TEs/WRs). Crowder is projected to catch 82 passes for 852 yards and 5 TDs on the 2020 year, which would translate to 197+ PPR points and a WR30 finish over 16 games.
While Crowder might not get to a high yardage number, his upside relies mostly on his pass-catching prowess. He's one of only 14 WRs league-wide projected to 80+ receptions and the only one getting drafted as a WR20+. With an ADP of WR41 these days and 109th-overall, the ROI Crowder offers is insane. It makes no sense to let him slide this far in drafts, so be sure to snatch him earlier before you get sniped and secure you a WR2 or weekly FLEX option at the very least for 2020!
