Denny Hamlin placed 29th during Sunday’s race at Charlotte after ballast fell off his car during the start of the event. In 28 starts at CMS, Hamlin has 17 top-10 finishes, which include three top-five finishes in the last five events at the site. Since 2018 at Charlotte, Hamlin has the third-most fastest laps (79) and will start 29th for Wednesday’s race at CMS. The driver of the No. 11 Toyota will score a lot of place differential and has the equipment capable of scoring a top-10 finish.
