The Houston Texans have decided not to pick up cornerback Gareon Conley's fifth-year option for the 2021 season, according to a league source not authorized to speak publicly. His fifth-year option would have been for $10.244 million. Despite the decision, the Texans were pleased with Conley's play down the stretch last year and like how he fits into their locker room. The Raiders gave up on him in 2019 after he was the 24th overall pick in the 2017 draft. Conley had 27 tackles (20 solo) and 11 passes defensed for Houston in eight games (six starts) to close out the 2019 season. He should be a starter next year but must improve his play if he wants to play in Houston beyond the 2020 season.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerRead More News
