The Philadelphia Eagles plan to exercise the fifth-year option on defensive end Derek Barnett, according to a source. Barnett missed 10 games in 2018 and two in 2019 due to injuries, so durability is a big concern with him. He also has just 14 career sacks in his three seasons, falling short of expectations so far as a 14th overall pick in the first round. Barnett committed 10 total penalties last year, including the playoffs, four of which were either unnecessary roughness or roughing the passer. But he' still only 23 years old and has made his share of big plays in big games, and the coaching staff loves him. If he continues to improve his pass-rush moves, Barnett could still have a breakout season.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerRead More News
