San Francisco 49ers safety Jimmie Ward (finger) underwent surgery on his broken finger on Thursday, according to head coach Kyle Shanahan. It's unknown if they'll put a cast on his hand so that he can play on Sunday against the Buccaneers. It's a downgrade for San Francisco's secondary against a Buccaneers team that likes to take deep shots down the field, especially under new head coach Bruce Arians. The 49ers Defense has potential to be much better this year for fantasy purposes, but leave them alone for Week 1 against Tampa.--Keith Hernandez
