Troy Klauder highlights the top FanDuel MLB DFS lineup picks for 8/19/19, and a couple of sleepers to consider while building daily rosters.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for FanDuel on 8/19/19. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays.

FanDuel DFS Pitchers
Trevor Bauer, CIN vs SDP ($10,200)
It doesn't feel good starting Bauer after he allowed nine earned runs in his last start, but this is a good opportunity to buy low while others are scared off. He should bounce back against a weak Padres lineup that has just a .308 wOBA versus righties and is missing their best hitter in Fernando Tatis, Jr. Bauer's value mainly comes from his strikeouts, as he's got a 27.6% K-rate, and the Padres have the third-highest strikeout-rate against right-handers at 26.2%. With no real aces on the mound tonight, he can easily finish as the top starting pitcher.
Zac Gallen, ARI vs COL ($8,000)
It's surprising to see Gallen at such an affordable price, as he's been fantastic through his first nine starts, posting a 2.58 ERA with a 27.4% K-rate. He has just about the best matchup you could ask for in the Rockies, who are abysmal away from home with their .286 wOBA on the road, along with a 27.0% K-rate. Gallen is an outstanding value play at starting pitcher.
FanDuel DFS Infielders
Paul Goldschmidt – 1B, STL vs MIL ($3,600)
Goldschmidt has been dominant over the last month, batting .296 with a .980 OPS and 10 home runs. He should continue to feast against Zach Davies, who has greatly outperformed his peripherals and is likely to regress. Davies has just a 14.9% K-rate and a poor 7.8% walk-rate - his 4.80 FIP is a much better indicator of his true talent level.
Josh Rojas – 2B, ARI vs COL ($2,500)
Rojas is essentially a punt play at second base, but he does have some upside against a weak starter in Chi Chi Gonzalez. Gonzalez has an awful 6.57 ERA and simply doesn't belong in the majors, so the Diamondbacks are a top stack option against him. Rojas is a cheap member of the stack, or can be used as a standalone at a weak second base position - he posted a 136 wRC+ in triple-A, so he's worthy of a look.
Miguel Sano – 3B, MIN vs CWS ($3,400)
Sano has been crushing the ball over the last two weeks, with five homers and a .985 OPS. He is a power upside play in GPP tournaments, as he already has 23 homers in only 75 games. Sano is in a great spot to go deep against Ivan Nova, who has a 1.46 HR/9 and a 5.02 FIP.
Jonathan Villar – SS, BAL vs KAN ($3,500)
Villar is an attractive target in cash games, as he's got an extremely high floor, batting .319 over the last month. He can rack up counting stats batting leadoff for the Orioles, and he has an awesome power/speed combo with 15 homers and 28 steals this season. Villar is a no-brainer against Jorge Lopez, owner of a 6.51 ERA.
FanDuel DFS Outfielders
Whit Merrifield, KAN at BAL ($3,200)
Merrifield hasn't been putting up big numbers lately, but a trip to Oriole Park can easily change that. In a hitter-friendly park against the league's worst pitching staff, Merrifield has potential as the Royals leadoff hitter. John Means might be the O's best pitcher, but he still has a 5.04 SIERA.
Trent Grisham, MIL at STL ($3,200)
Grisham is getting into a groove in the majors, batting .273 with an .863 OPS. He is yet another leadoff man we can take advantage of, as he can score some runs against Dakota Hudson. Hudson has a 5.21 FIP, so Grisham is intriguing at this price.
