After beautiful opening rounds of 69 and 66 put Ian Poulter squarely in the mix at The Players Championship, a disastrous weekend sent him tumbling down the leaderboard. The Englishman's implosion resulted in rounds of 75 and 76 over his final 36 holes and dropped him into a T56 finish. It was an extremely disappointing result for the Euro Tour veteran, who was a popular DFS play last week. Poulter's downfall was his normally-reliable irons and he lost over three strokes to the field on approach shots. He will skip the upcoming Valspar and tee it up next at the WGC-Dell Match Play.--Joe Nicely - RotoBaller
