Colorado Rockies shortstop Trevor Story had been slumping pretty badly going into Wednesday’s game. He was 3-for-23 over the last six games, but he smacked a solo shot in the fifth inning to break out of the funk. Story would finish the game with two hits in five trips to the plate. Though he struck out twice Wednesday, Story has been keeping his strikeout rate around 31 percent, which is still a solid improvement from last year. If he can keep the strikeouts under control, he’ll still be a streaky hitter, but the valleys shouldn’t be quite so bad.--Billy Stonick - RotoBaller
