Kansas City Royals outfielder Jon Jay will be taking a night off on Friday. Jay has been the Royals regular leadoff hitter this season, but switch-hitting Abraham Almonte will take over for him. There is no indication that Jay has suffered any injury; he's just getting a night off after playing in seven straight games. Jay usually brings some batting average help to a fantasy team, but this season, he's not even done that so far. He's hitting just .244 with zero home runs, one stolen base, and he's been caught stealing twice. He shouldn't be owned outside very deep leagues.--Billy Stonick - RotoBaller
