Fantasy football player outlook for IDP leagues. Washington Redskins LB Zach Brown's value is analyzed by Bryan Levin as a fantasy IDP player in 2017 drafts.
Zach Brown finished 2016, his first and only with the Bills, second in the NFL in tackles with 149. He had multiple games with at least 10 combined tackles, and, depending on how your league rewards tackle stats, finished as a surefire LB1. Much has been made over the years about how friendly and generous the Buffalo stat crew is when it comes to rewarding tackles to their guys, leading to inflated IDP value for guys like London Fletcher, Kiko Alonso, Preston Brown, Nigel Bradham, and now Zach Brown last year. This should certainly be taken into account when assessing Brown's 2017 value, as he has once again switched teams, making his home in Washington for the upcoming season. Don't get me wrong; Brown is a talented player, a former second round pick and will be just 27 years old to start the season. He deserves to be drafted as a steady LB2, but if you are planning on him returning top-three tackle numbers again with a high-end LB1 finish, you might be disappointed.
