Logan Webb Punches Out 10 in Loss to Tigers
Logan Webb (5-5) struck out 10 Detroit Tigers on Tuesday, but it wasn't enough to earn the victory. Instead, Webb suffered his fifth loss of the season after giving up three earned runs on seven hits and one walk over six innings. Webb allowed all of those runs in the first three innings before taming the Tigers' offense for the rest of his night to secure his eighth quality start of 2025. The 28-year-old has now piled up 10 or more strikeouts in three starts this season. Overall, Webb has recorded a superb 2.82 ERA with even better underlying metrics (2.18 FIP, 2.27 xFIP) and 84:17 K:BB over 73 1/3 frames. He'll head back to San Francisco to face the division-rival San Diego Padres on Monday.
