DraftKings Lineup Picks & Sleepers (6/1/17): MLB DFS Advice

Justin Bales' DraftKings analysis and advice. The top MLB DFS lineup picks on for 6/1/17, as well as a couple of sleepers for daily fantasy baseball rosters.

This is somewhat of a terrible day for DFS MLB. The games are broken into two slates, but neither one is sizable. There are enough games to field teams, though, and this article will focus on both slates.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings on 6/1/17. The DFS lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays on DraftKings.

You can read our FanDuel DFS lineup picks as well. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to hit me up on Twitter @BalesSJustin.

DFS Lineup Stacks to Target on DraftKings

Cleveland Indians vs Jharel Cotton

The Indians have been playing extremely well as an offense recently, as they are hitting nearly .300 over the last week. They have been a significantly better offense at home, which is where they will be playing tonight. They get a matchup against Cotton, who enters the game with a 5.57 ERA and 1.44 WHIP through eight starts. He has given up a total of six home runs in his last three games, and the Indians are -207 favorite in a game set at 8 runs. They're an elite stack on this slate.

New York Mets vs Chase Anderson

The Mets have struggled at home this season, but they are hitting nearly .300 as a team over the last week. Over that span, they have also displayed tremendous power, as 38.6% of their hits have gone for extra-bases. They get a good matchup against Anderson, who has struggled with a 5.54 ERA and 1.62 WHIP through five road starts. The Mets are currently -140 favorites in a game set at 8.5 runs, and they're a high upside stack tonight.

DFS Starting Pitchers to Consider on DraftKings

Zack Greinke - at MIA ($12,700)

Greinke has looked outstanding this season, as he has a 6-3 record with a 3.24 ERA and a 9.2 K/9 through 11 starts. Surprisingly, he has been a better fantasy option at home this season, but his road stats are a bit skewed by limited starts. He gets a solid matchup against the Marlins, and Greinke is a -130 favorite in a game set at 8 runs. He's arguably the safest pitching option on this slate.

Brandon McCarthy - at STL ($9,000)

McCarthy is coming off an elite start against the Cubs, but he was pulled due to injury. He's now fully healthy and ready to make his return. He has thrown well this season, as he brings a 5-1 record, 3.62 ERA, and 8.2 K/9 into this game. He gets a decent matchup against the Cardinals, and McCarthy is a -111 favorite in a game set at 8.5 runs. He does come with some risk, but there are limited options on this slate.

DFS Infielders to Consider on DraftKings

Catcher (C)

Martin Maldonado - vs MIN ($2,800)

Maldonado comes with a low price tag, but he has looked good this season. Over his last 10 games, he has displayed good power for his position with a pair of home runs. He has been a fairly consistent option over that span, as well. He gets a good matchup against Adalberto Mejia, and Maldonado is a great salary relief option today.

First Base (1B)

Kendrys Morales - vs NYY ($4,800)

Morales has caught fire for the Blue Jays recently, as he's hitting over .350 with great power over his last 10 games. He has also displayed great plate disciple, as he has six walks and only two strikeouts over that span. He gets a good matchup against C.C. Sabathia, and Morales is an elite option on this slate.

Second Base (2B)

Devon Travis - vs NYY ($4,200)

Travis is another Blue Jay that has been on a tear over his last 10 games. Over that span, he's hitting over .400 with surprising power. He hasn't displayed great speed during those games, but he is a player that is a threat to steal. He gets a great matchup against an aging C.C. Sabathia, and Travis can be used in all leagues.

Shortstop (SS)

JT Riddle - vs ARI ($2,700)

Riddle is a player that continues to be extremely underpriced. He's hitting over .300 over his last 10 games, and he has also displayed good power over that span. He has found a way to be a consistent option, but he's best suited for tournaments against Zack Greinke tonight.

Third Base (3B)

Travis Shaw - at NYM ($3,900)

Shaw has been playing well recently, although he has somewhat lacked power over his last 10 games. Over that span, he only has one home run, but he is hitting over .300 with a few doubles. He gets a decent matchup against Zack Wheeler, and Shaw has been playing well enough for all leagues.

DFS Outfielders to Consider on DraftKings

Michael Conforto - vs MIL ($4,600)

Conforto has been enjoying an elite season for the Mets, and he's hitting nearly .350 with good power over his last 10 games. He isn't going to come cheap, but he gets a great matchup against Chase Anderson, and he is leading off for the Mets. He brings an elite combination of consistency and upside to the table, and Conforto can be used in all leagues.

Bradley Zimmer - vs OAK ($3,600)

Zimmer has only played a few games this season, but he has found quite a bit of success in them, especially over his last 10 games. Over that span, he's hitting over .350 with good power and great speed. He has been a significantly better hitter at home this season, and he gets a great matchup against Jharel Cotton. Zimmer can be used in all leagues.
