RotoBallers, welcome back to our daily fantasy hockey (NHL DFS) lineup picks for FanDuel and DraftKings. Below you will find our NHL cheat sheet - DFS lineup picks, sleepers and stacks for Saturday, March 4 of the 2016/2017 NHL season.

We get a little bit of a different setup this Saturday as there will be no day games and a nice 10 game slate starting at 7:00 p.m. ET tonight. There are four teams (WPG, TB, CHI, DET) playing a back-to-back, and the Lightning and Blackhawks are also playing a third game in four nights.

Let's dive in and take a look at today's three-pack and stack option.

NHL Daily League Lineup Picks for Saturday, March 4

For those that are new to this, each day we'll be providing you with a few of our top DFS lineup picks for daily league cash games on FanDuel and DraftKings. Patrice Bergeron (C, BOS)

DraftKings - $7,200, FanDuel - $7,200

He was held without a point last game but everything is pointing to Bergeron getting back on the scoresheet tonight. The Bruins get an elite matchup vs. the struggling Devils who have lost five straight and seven of their last nine games and now rank in the bottom 10 in defense. Bergeron, on the other hand, has been having a tremendous second half with 15 points in 11 games since the All-Star Break. He is safe in all formats.

Patrik Laine (W, WPG)

DraftKings - $7,100, FanDuel - $7,700

Laine and the Jets are a team you can build around despite them playing back to back nights. Why? Well, it starts with the elite matchup as the Avalanche and their 30th rank defense while the Jets rank Top 10 in offense. Laine is a leading candidate for rookie of the year in 2017 as he has tallied  31 goals and 56 points. He also provides a safe floor averaging over three shots per game over the last few weeks.

Oscar Klefbom (D, EDM)

DraftKings - $4,900, FanDuel - $4,800

In his fourth season with the Oilers, Klefbom is having a breakout season by already setting career highs in goals(11), plus/minus(+8), and points(28). He has been very consistent lately as well with eight points(three on powerplay) in his last 10 games with a nice balance of 24 shots and 17 blocks. He is safe in all formats under $5K on both sites.

Stacking Option

Florida Panthers - Jaromir Jagr, Jonathan Huberdeau, Aleksander Barkov

With seven of the bottom 10 defenses in action tonight, you can find some lower ownership stacks without going too far out on a limb. It starts with the Panthers who are projected for nearly 3.5 goals tonight as they are home to the Stars and their 29th ranked defense. The top line is my top option tonight as they have been hot over the past couple weeks and come with an overall value price.

Bonus: General NHL DFS Strategy Notes

For cash games, look at players who can contribute to your score even when they are not providing offense. Some examples are guys who take a ton of shots and defensemen who block a lot of shots. Also, look for guys who get power play time. You can find value in players who join a new line due to an injury, or just get a promotion and more ice time. It is also recommended to spread out your exposure to three or four different lines, and not put all your eggs in one basket.

For large field tournaments (GPPs), find payers who have multi-point upside and can grab double-digit fantasy points. If you want to stack the most upside in your forwards, a common strategy is to punt the defense position. This doesn't mean just grab anyone - try and look for a defenseman who will get power play time, or a playing time boost due to an injury. For a contrarian approach, paying up at the defense position can be a great strategy - but it also comes with more risk. GPPs bring a great opportunity for goaltenders in the value price range - you can look for backups on good teams.
