RotoBallers, welcome back to our daily fantasy hockey (NHL DFS) lineup picks for FanDuel, DraftKings and FantasyAces. Below you will find our NHL cheat sheet - DFS lineup picks, sleepers and stacks for Sunday, December 11 of the 2016/2017 NHL season.

Another split slate on Sunday with three games starting in the early afternoon and eight more games starting around 7:00 p.m. ET. For te purpose of the followign picks I will be concentrating on the eight game main slate.

NHL Daily League Lineup Picks for Sunday, December 11 

For those that are new to this, each day we'll be providing you with a few of our top DFS lineup picks for daily league cash games on FanDuel, DraftKings, and FantasyAces. Scott Darling (G, CHI)

DraftKings - $8,000, FanDuel - $8,500, FantasyAces - $7,550

Since taking over the #1 role with Crawford on injured reserve, Darling hasn't seen success in the win column(1-2-1) but has been excellent. In those four games he has made 115 saves on 121 shots for an impressive .950 save %. He will be in another good spot today as the Hawks open as -160 favorites to the visiting Stars who are playing the second of back to back games on the road. Darling is safe in all formats.

Leon Draisaitl (C, EDM)

DraftKings - $6,300, FanDuel - $6,200, FantasyAces - $5,300

He has been red hot lately with 12 points over the last 10 games and even spent some time with Connor McDavid on the top line. He is back on the third line but his main value comes with the man advantage where he continues to skate with McDavid and the top unit. Eleven of his 26 points this season have come on the powerplay. The price is gettign close to givign him a GPP only label but not quite yet. Lock and load!

Mikael Granlund (W, MIN)

DraftKings - $4,700, FanDuel - $5,000, FantasyAces - $4,750

The Wild and their 11th ranked offense benefits from a very balanced attack. This balance offers us as DFS players some excellent value throughout the lineup but should be reserved to GPP only as the shots are also spread out. Jason Zucker has been the hotter of the sub $5K guys on DraftKings but roll with Granlund who gets powerplay time.

Morgan Rielly (D, TOR)

DraftKings - $5,100, FanDuel - $4,700, FantasyAces - $4,900

The salary is going up but Rielly will be tough to fade in a great matchup tonight. The Leafs and Avs are both playing back to back but the Leafs have the benefit of playing at home while the Avs are coming off an embarrassing 10-1 loss in Montreal last night.  Rielly has recoded an assist in three straight games while providing a high floor with nine shots.

Stacking Option

Edmonton Oilers PP - Connor McDavid, Milan Lucic, Leon Draisaitl, Jordan Eberle

The Oilers return home after a poor three game road trip and sit in a great spot to get back on track. They are big favorites(-180) facing a Jets team that ranks 26th in defense, allowing  2.97 goals per game. Each of Lucic, Draistail, and McDavid have recorded at least 10 points over their last 10 games while Eberle has recorded nine. Look for another OVER in tonight's game in Edmonton.

Bonus: General NHL DFS Strategy Notes

For cash games, look at players who can contribute to your score even when they are not providing offense. Some examples are guys who take a ton of shots and defensemen who block a lot of shots. Also, look for guys who get power play time. You can find value in players who join a new line due to an injury, or just get a promotion and more ice time. It is also recommended to spread out your exposure to three or four different lines, and not put all your eggs in one basket.

For large field tournaments (GPPs), find payers who have multi-point upside and can grab double-digit fantasy points. If you want to stack the most upside in your forwards, a common strategy is to punt the defense position. This doesn't mean just grab anyone - try and look for a defenseman who will get power play time, or a playing time boost due to an injury. For a contrarian approach, paying up at the defense position can be a great strategy - but it also comes with more risk. GPPs bring a great opportunity for goaltenders in the value price range - you can look for backups on good teams.
