FanDuel CBB DFS Lineup Picks (02/29/16): Daily Fantasy College Basketball Advice

David Sass offers his FanDuel daily fantasy college basketball sleepers for 2/29/16. His CBB DFS lineup picks and NCAA sleepers will help you win on FanDuel.

With teams now fighting for seedings in their respective conference tournaments, the college basketball season is starting to heat up.  The casual college basketball fan is starting to tune in to do some research for march madness.  There’s no better way to stay engaged than with some DFS.

Without further delay, below are our favorite Daily Fantasy College Basketball picks for FanDuel DFS games for February 29, 2016.

CBB DFS Players to Target

Jameel McKay - F - Iowa State - $6,800

McKay is a phenomenal player that has had a slower season than expected so far.  He just got off his suspension two weeks ago and was having trouble finding a rhythm.  Saturday, McKay had his best game of the season, but more importantly played 31 minutes.  Look for McKay to follow up his last outing with an even better game against Oklahoma State tonight.  He should continue to get 30 plus minutes and dominate the boards.

Trevor Cooney - G - Syracuse - $6,000

For Syracuse to have a chance against North Carolina they are going to have to score a lot of points and hit a lot of threes.  Cooney is arguably Syracuse’s best shooter and will need to get hot for Syracuse to compete.  North Carolina is very vulnerable on defense, especially transition defense.  If the Syracuse Zone can force some turnovers they will be able to run and look for Cooney in the corner for wide open threes.

CBB DFS Value Plays

Marcus Paige - G - North Carolina - $5,500

Coming into the season, Paige was supposed to be North Carolina’s best player and an all-american.  He has not had a good shooting season so far, but lately has been looking better.  Syracuse’s zone will give up open threes with good ball movement, so look for Paige to take advantage.  Once they respect his shot, he will be able to get into the lane with his shot fake and wreak havoc.  Look for Paige to stuff the stat sheet and be a must play at $5,500.

Wayne Selden - G - Kansas Jayhawks - $5,500

Selden was not afraid to shoot in Kansas’s last game and finally broke out of his scoring slump totally 18 points.  Look for Selden to build off his last game and continue to gain even more confidence against Texas.  The player with the upside of Selden is an absolute steal at $5,500.  Seleden, if he shoots well early will have a great chance to go for 20 plus points.

CBB DFS Players to Avoid

Kennedy Meeks - F - North Carolina - $5,600

Kennedy Meeks is in the midst of the worst slump of his career.  He was recently benched and is not getting the minutes he was getting earlier in the season.  Syracuse has been frustrating big men defensively this season and forcing a lot of turnovers.  Meeks lately has been incredibly turnover prone.  Look for Meeks to get frustrated and into foul trouble early, limiting his minutes for the rest of the game.

Perry Ellis - F - Kansas - $7,400

Ellis has a tough matchup against Texas.  Texas’s front court has been very stout defensively this season.  Ellis likes to be very physical down low on offense, but could potentially run into a much larger and more physical Ibeh.  On the flip side, Felix has been getting excellent penetration lately, so look for him to drive the lane and try to get Ellis into foul trouble early.  If Ellis’ mid-range game is not up to par tonight, look for him to struggle all night.
