Daily Fantasy Soccer for 9/19: DraftKings EPL DFS Targets & Sleepers for Matchday Six

DraftKings has just launched EPL DFS and we're here to bring you the top picks and value picks for each position in this weekends cash games and GPPs for EPL Daily Fantasy Soccer. Enjoy!

Editor’s Note: Be sure to check out all of our articles, and read more about the EPL and Spanish La Liga.

EPL DFS Goalkeeper Picks for DraftKings

Top Pick: Joe Hart – Manchester City - $5,600

Joe Hart and the rest of his Sky Blue compatriots have yet to concede a single goal in any of their five consecutive league victories. If you go value for the rest of the squad an can afford the luxury of having a high-priced keeper, there is no better option than Hart. The Englishman has scored double digit points in every game and could provide additional value if he adds a hefty save total to his already projected clean sheet victory.

Value Pick: Heurelho Gomes – Watford - $4,400

After being buried behind Hugo Lloris at Tottenham, Heurelho Gomes has seen resurgence at Watford. The Hornets have allowed just four goals in five games and shut out their opponents three times. On Saturday, Watford travels to St. James’ Park to face a Newcastle squad struggling to score goals.

EPL DFS Defense Picks for DraftKings

Top Pick: Aleksandar Kolarov – Manchester City - $6,500

Much like Joe Hart, Kolarov enters this weekend scoring double-digit points in every game. Fearful of the counter attack, teams have been sitting back, waiting for City to take the game to them. This conservative approach has allowed Kolarov the luxury of pressing forward - giving him ample opportunities for crosses, assists, and even the occasional shot-on-goal.

Value Picks: Jordan Amavi – Aston Villa - $4,100

Amavi has been solid thus far and has an attractive matchup against West Brom, Much like the aforementioned Kolarov, Amavi has shown a prepotency for pushing forward and sending in crosses. The additional value of the West Brom offense, or lack thereof, puts Amavi and the Villa defense in good position for a clean sheet .

Value Picks: Allan Nyom – Watford - $3,700

There is a theme here. Nyom, much like the previously mentioned defenders, is a fullback unafraid to press forward, plays in a solid defensive rearguard, and has an attractive Week 6 matchup. Nyom is a valuable buy this weekend.

EPL DFS Midfielder Picks for DraftKings

Top Pick: Riyad Mahrez – Leicester City - $9,600

I’ll stop putting my money behind this guy as soon as he stops producing. Mahrez has by far and away been the top player in Draft Kings BPL so far this season. The Algerian winger is confident, operating as the lead-horse in a offense full of stallions. If last week’s disastrous showing against Arsenal was any indication, Jack Butland and Stoke will have their hands full on Saturday against Leicester.

Value Pick: Jefferson Montero – Swansea City - $5,500

‘Senor Cross’ should make his triumphant return to the Swansea starting XI this weekend when the bunch host Everton. After suffering a minor knock before the international break, Montero returned to action as a substitute last week against Watford. In just 30 minutes, Montero sent in nine crosses, that’s right, that’s wasn’t a typo, NINE crosses. With ninety minutes to work with, Montero should continue his dominance over the left flank.

EPL DFS Forward Picks for DraftKings

Top Pick: Alexis Sanchez – Arsenal - $10,700

This is not the guy Chelsea wants to face. The Blues are unquestionably the worst defense in the league and Sanchez has arguable been one of the league’s top offensive threats since his return in Week 2. With a chop-licking matchup against Branislav Ivanovic or Kennedy, Sanchez is almost a virtual lock for double-digit points.

Top Pick: Jamie Vardy – Leicester - $8,500

Much like with Mahrez, I’ll stop backing this guy when he stops producing. With Harry Kane struggling, England may have anew favored son to don the number 9 for the Three Lions. Vardy has been superb all season, scoring four goals in five matches, including one that spearheaded the Foxes dramatic comeback victory over Aston Villa last weekend.

Value Pick: Wilfried Bony – Manchester City - $7,000

If Sergio Aguero does indeed sit out this weekend’s match, Bony is the best buy on the market. After Kun limped off of the field last Saturday, Bony operated as the lone striker and provided great linkage with Yaya Toure and Kevin De Bruyne. With assist masters David Silva and Raheem Sterling seemingly returning to action this weekend, look for Bony to have ample opportunity on net. Just make sure to check the lineups before kickoff to se if he is indeed included in the first XI.
