Worth the FanDuel Investment

Reggie Jackson (DET, G) - $8,600

The Pistons may be eliminated from the playoffs, but no one tell that to Reggie Jackson. In fact, Jackson may end up producing even better fantasy lines by being truly unleashed to do whatever he likes on the court. It doesn’t seem to matter what happens with the rest of the Pistons lineup, as Greg Monroe’s presence on the court hasn’t derailed Jackson’s numbers at all. It’s strange to think that the long-time backup to Russell Westbrook may very well be putting up the same kind of fantasy lines as the superstar, but Jackson has come into his own on this Detroit Pistons team. In his last eight games, Jackson has averaged 21.4 points, 4.9 rebounds, 10.3 assists, and 0.9 steals. His great numbers are a direct reflection of his improved decision-making in Stan Van Gundy’s offense. In fact, in these past eight games, Jackson has shot an impressive 51.2% from the field. Field goal percentage and general inefficiency has always been a huge criticism of Jackson’s game, but Jackson’s investment price has risen to reflect his great play. Continue to use Jackson in your lineups as one of the best point guard options on FanDuel.

Honorable Mention: Bradley Beal (WSH, G)

Kenneth Faried (DEN, F) - $6,500

Faried has admittedly had an up and down year. He began the year playing low minutes and producing little during his time on the court. Then he broke out and had a few huge games. Eventually, he regressed and on the whole, and he hasn’t had the breakout campaign that many were hoping for when he was labeled a top fifty fantasy option at the beginning of the season. Faried looks to be a tricky fantasy player, showing an ability to put up a huge stat line depending on the strength of the opposing team to contend with him on the boards and through hustle. Luckily, Faried is playing the Sacramento Kings on Sunday, who will also be missing their two leaders in Rudy Gay and DeMarcus Cousins. As a result, expect Faried to put up great numbers against the Kings due to his easier matchups. In his last seven games, Faried has averaged 14.4 points and 9.1 rebounds. Expect these numbers as the floor for his performance on Sunday, as he should easily put up a double-double.

Honorable Mention: Khris Middleton (MIL, F)

Tyson Chandler (DAL, C) - $5,800

It’s time to recognize a common strategy in fantasy. Many winning fantasy lines often involve heavy investments in the small forward and point guard positions and going for a cheaper but high-upside option at the center position. This style of thinking is completely understandable and has proven to be successful. Tyson Chandler looks to fill this role perfectly on Sunday, as his recent performance has shown his ability to still put up plenty of fantasy points. In his last seven games, Chandler has averaged 8.9 points and 12.9 rebounds. Chandler has a great matchup against the Las Angeles Lakers, as the Lakers lack the big men to consistently contend with Chandler on the boards. The Dallas defense has left a lot to be desired, but their offense has been clicking as they head into the playoffs. Chandler has been a big part of this, and his performance correlates with the Maverick’s increased scoring totals. Look for Chandler as a bargain option at the center slot on Sunday.

Honorable Mention: Al Horford (ATL, C)

DFS Sleeper Picks

Omri Casspi (SAC,F)

Um, yeah. Omri Casspi. But hear me out. Casspi has actually been playing surprisingly well as of late. In his last eight games, Casspi has averaged 16.0 points, 3.9 rebounds, 1.8 assists, and 0.9 steals. His numbers have been great due to being a main offensive option on the team now that Demarcus Cousins and Rudy Gay have both been officially shut down for the year. The Kings play the Nuggets on Sunday, and the Nuggets aren’t exactly known for tenacious defensive prowess either. Therefore, Casspi could be a great sleeper candidate to grab a nice fantasy line on Sunday. His eleven field goal attempts per game in these past two weeks show how much the Kings trust him to play an integral part of their offense. Unless Sim Bhullar shocks us with some huge game, Casspi should have plenty of touches.

Honorable Mentions: Ryan Kelly (LAL, F), Bismack Biyombo (CHA, C)
