NBA DFS FanDuel Advice & Sleepers – Lineup Picks for 3/17/15

All throughout the 2014-15 NBA campaign, RotoBaller will be analyzing the top NBA DFS lineup picks and providing our expert advice for the best sleepers at the guard, forward and center positions. Below are our favorite FanDuel DFS picks for March 17th, 2015.

Keep in mind, fantasy basketball is a fickle game when it comes to injured players, so be sure to check all lineups prior to tip-off. If you want to chat about your roster picks, check out the DFS chat room at the bottom of this post.

Editors Note: If you have not tried out FanDuel 1-day fantasy basketball leagues, RotoBaller offers the best bonuses around. Signup and make a deposit for a new FanDuel account, and receive a 100% bonus on your deposit up to $200.

Worth the FanDuel Investment

Alexey Shved (NYK, G) - $6,000

Yeah he’s not a very sexy pick, but Alexey Shved should provide you with plenty of fantasy points for your second point guard position slot or if you are looking to invest heavily in other positions. Shved has found his niche in fantasy land as the playmaker for the desolate New York Knicks. He is extremely quick with a knack for racking up steals as well as transition points. His rebounding is actually terrific for a point guard, and he should continue to provide excellent numbers across the board. In his last four games, Shved is averaging 16.8 points, 5.5 assists, 7.3 rebounds, and 1.5 steals. Shved has bounced around this season, but is surprisingly eating into the minutes of the young players on the team. However, he brings a level of experience to the team that makes the Knicks a slightly more watchable basketball product every night.

Honorable Mentions: Victor Oladipo (Orl, G), Tony Parker (SA, G)

Khris Middleton (Mil, F) - $6,800

Khris Middleton isn’t a huge name in fantasy land, but he very well should be. Middleton has played extremely well this season, especially since the injury to Jabari Parker opened up more minutes and shots. He has proven to be one of the top five small forwards in DFS this season, and looks to be on the verge of a breakout. In his last eight games, Middleton is averaging 20.5 points, 4.8 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and 1.6 steals. The forward also had two great scoring outbursts in his last five games, putting up a career high 30 points in both games. Middleton is another player who probably will not win the night for you but is an excellent player to invest in with the right amount of budget leftover. He will definitely not hurt your investment to say the least, as his playing time and shot attempts dictate the Buck’s necessity in utilizing his talents. Since the departure of Brandon Knight and the arrival of Michael Carter-Williams, the Bucks’ offense has stagnated and relied on Middleton to take on more of a workload.

Honorable Mentions: Tobias Harris (Orl, F), Greg Monroe (Det, F)

Nikola Vucevic (ORL, C) - $8,400

Alright, so if you’ve saved up some budget for your center slot, then Vucevic is the way to go. Blake Griffin is back in the Clippers lineup, which should hurt Deandre Jordan’s fantasy value. This makes Vucevic the best center option on Tuesday. In his last three games, he has averaged 19.0 points, 13.3 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 1.7 steals. Vucevic should look to grab plenty of rebounds and find scoring options in his matchup against the Houston Rockets on Tuesday. The Rockets won’t have the defensive big men to counter against Vucevic, and he should be able to dominate his matchups. Look for the big man to continue to see plenty of minutes as he is healthy once again, and take upwards of twenty field goal attempts on his way to a great fantasy night.

Honorable Mention: Zaza Pachulia (Mil, C)

DFS Sleeper Picks

Corey Brewer (Hou, F) - $4,600

Corey Brewer has been a great pickup for the Houston Rockets midseason, and he has proven to be a solid fantasy contributor as well. When Brewer gets hot, the Rockets make sure to feed him the ball. Brewer’s speed also allows him to be the beneficiary of a lot of outlet passes for transition points. In his last four games, he has averaged 19.8 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 1.5 steals. Brewer’s asking price on FanDuel is extremely cheap, and he could easily provide higher production than the likes of Jeff Green and Matt Barnes at the small forward position. Brewer could be a great secondary pick at the small forward position due to his potential for a scoring outburst and generously low investment price.

Honorable Mention: Cole Aldrich (NYK, C)
