We have a monster slate on tap for Saturday, which is usually the case and means that we should have a ton of options to choose from when selecting strikeout props. Some of the marquee starting pitchers today include Yoshinobu Yamamoto, Chris Sale, and Cristopher Sanchez.

In this article, I'll provide my favorite prop bets for MLB games on Saturday, June 20, 2026. High-Confidence Strikeout Picks
Yoshinobu Yamamoto OVER 7.5 strikeouts (+131 DraftKings)
I have had some ups and downs with Yamamoto this season, and most recently whiffed on his prop against the Angels two starts ago. That being said, he has been tremendous overall, striking out eight or more batters in four of his previous seven starts, while also throwing a seven-strikeout game in there.
His metrics are also solid, as he currently sits with a 29.3% whiff rate, which ranks in the 80th percentile. His chase rate is even better at 34.1%, which ranks in the 84th percentile. Overall, he has a 24.8% K rate, which should be high enough to mow down this free-swinging Baltimore Orioles lineup.
Over the previous two weeks, the Orioles have been posting a 24.3% K rate versus right-handed pitchers. This is bad enough to rank them sixth-worst in baseball over that span. Additionally, their walk rate of 8.5% is not all that scary and ranks in the bottom half of the league.
This feels like a good spot at home for Yamamoto, who has posted a 10.2 K/9 rate since 2024. He should be able to get over the total here.
Freddy Peralta OVER 5.5 strikeouts (+122 NOVIG)
I know Freddy Peralta has not exactly been a fireballer for the Mets in 2026, but I do think he is capable of achieving six strikeouts in this matchup. After all, he has done this in eight total starts this season, and does have a tremendous matchup against the Phillies, as they are currently struggling versus right-handers in the strikeout department.
Over the previous two weeks, Philadelphia has been posting a 29.4% K rate versus right-handed pitching, which ranks dead last in baseball over that span. Additionally, they own a sub-100 wRC+ mark, which should help Freddy out as well. Lastly, their sub-9% walk rate also ranks in the middle of the pack.
The fact that we are getting really solid plus odds here on NOVIG also makes this play enticing, and Peralta is still posting a whiff rate and K rate north of the 50th percentile. He also has faced this Phillies lineup across 96 PA and has posted a 39.5% K rate against it, which is worth noting.
