Week 12 Tight End Rankings Outlooks
Cade Otton, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Cade Otton is looking to bounce back after posting a dud during last week's game against the Buffalo Bills. Otton hauled in two of his five targets for 28 yards in the loss. Before that, Otton had finished with 40 receiving yards or more in five straight games.
His role in the offensive game plan could be reduced if Chris Godwin (leg) can suit up in Week 12. Regardless, Otton has proven himself capable of making plays that should still have the ball coming his way. The 26-year-old has seen five or more targets in six straight games. Fantasy managers should be able to trust Otton as a TE2 for this upcoming matchup against the Los Angeles Rams.
Hunter Henry, New England Patriots
New England Patriots tight end Hunter Henry has momentum on his side ahead of Sunday's favorable matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 12. Henry bounced back from a Week 10 dud by catching four of his six targets for 45 yards in Week 11. He is one of Drake Maye's favorite targets, establishing himself as a fringe top-12 tight end in fantasy football. Henry is an intriguing option in the Patriots' offense, but his ceiling has arguably never been higher than it is this week against the Bengals.
Cincinnati has the league's worst defense against tight ends, and it's not particularly close. They have allowed the most receiving yards, the most touchdowns, and the most fantasy points to tight ends in 2025. The gap in fantasy points allowed by the Bengals and the second-worst defense against tight ends is actually greater than the gap between the second-worst defense and the league median. Meanwhile, Cincy's 12 touchdowns allowed to tight ends are five more than the next-highest. Time and time again, tight ends have feasted against the Bengals. Now, it's Henry's turn. He ranks as a mid-to-high TE1 with an extremely favorable matchup on tap.
AJ Barner, Seattle Seahawks
Seattle Seahawks tight end AJ Barner is worth monitoring in Week 12 against the Tennessee Titans. Barner is coming off a 10-reception, 70-yard game against the Los Angeles Rams in Week 11. He has been inconsistent this season, but he has been a solid fantasy producer more often than not. Seattle projects to have a low passing volume day in Week 12 against a Titans team that has had trouble staying in games this season.
However, Barner's target share will be worth monitoring because it could translate to further success later this season. Even so, unless Barner finds the end zone in Week 12 (which he has five times this season) he is unlikely to be particularly useful. If Seattle does indeed lean heavily on the running game this week, most of the passing volume is likely to go to wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba. Stash Barner through this week and see how he performs.
