Fantasy Football Matchup Outlooks
Below are some fantasy football outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider starting in Week 7:
CeeDee Lamb, WR, Dallas Cowboys
Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb (ankle) was upgraded to a full practice participant on Friday and was removed from the Week 7 injury report, according to Jon Machota of The Athletic. Lamb will officially return to play on Sunday against the division-rival Washington Commanders for the first time since suffering a high-ankle sprain in the Week 3 loss to the Chicago Bears.
Fellow wideout KaVontae Turpin (foot) will also return for Dallas after missing the last two games. The 26-year-old said on Thursday that he was expecting to return this weekend and that he won't be on any workload restrictions in his first game back. Well, there you have it. Lamb will be back as Dallas' WR1 and will be returning to a plus matchup against Washington's secondary. Get him back into your starting lineups.
Lamb's return will relegate George Pickens to WR2 duties.
Tyjae Spears, RB, Tennessee Titans
Tennessee Titans running back Tyjae Spears has ascended into a significant role through two weeks post-injury. Now, he'll look to handle an increased workload in Week 7 against the New England Patriots. Spears has seen a gradual increase in usage through his two games, with the most notable difference being his snap share jumping from 25 percent to 59 percent.
As of last week, he was on the field more than Tony Pollard, though he still logged less than half as many rushing attempts as the veteran. One of Spears' specialties is pass catching, which has given him a path to playing time. The Patriots have allowed the third-fewest rushing yards to running backs, but the 10th-most receiving yards to the position.
Sterling Shepard, WR, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Sterling Shepard has seen his stock rapidly rise following a series of injuries to the Bucs' receiving corps. The veteran wideout has at least three targets and two catches in every game this season and enters Week 7 just inside the top 50 of PPR receivers, making him a solid depth option for managers in need of additional help in the weeks to come.
As receivers Mike Evans (hamstring), Chris Godwin (leg), and Emeka Egbuka (hamstring) deal with injuries, Shepard should have a continued role within Tampa's offense. The veteran has more than 400 career catches to his name, making him a safe if unspectacular addition to a fantasy roster.
Jonathan Taylor, RB, Indianapolis Colts
Indianapolis Colts running back Jonathan Taylor turned in yet another dominant performance in a Week 6 win as he rushed for 123 yards and a touchdown against the Arizona Cardinals. Taylor will look to stay red-hot as he gets ready to head on the road to take on the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 7. The Chargers have been decent against the run this season, allowing the 17th-most fantasy points per game to the position through six games.
That being said, Taylor has been dominating the backfield work in Indy and already has eight all-purpose touchdowns to his name in 2025. He sets up as a top-five fantasy running back who should be locked into fantasy starting lineups for Week 7.
Jalen Coker, WR, Carolina Panthers
Carolina Panthers wide receiver Jalen Coker (quadriceps), who is officially listed as questionable to make his 2025 season debut on Sunday versus the New York Jets, "will definitely play," according to head coach Dave Canales. Coker began the season on Injured Reserve due to a serious quad injury that he suffered in late August, but he had his 21-day practice window opened last Wednesday, and he's been practicing in full ever since.
It's a notable development for the Panthers' offense in a good matchup on the road this weekend, but as usual, fantasy managers should be skeptical of throwing Coker straight into starting lineups this weekend. Coker could be eased into Carolina's offense, but eventually, he has the potential to be the team's WR2 behind rookie first-rounder Tetairoa McMillan. The 23-year-old had a 32-478-2 line in 11 games (four starts) as a rookie.
Add him off the waiver wire if you need help at WR.
