Fantasy Football Matchup Outlooks
Below are some fantasy football outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider starting in Week 4:
Travis Hunter, WR, Jacksonville Jaguars
When asked about Jacksonville Jaguars rookie two-way star Travis Hunter's usage on both sides of the ball moving forward, head coach Liam Coen said, "As we continue to go, his usage will continue to go." Take that for what you will as the Jags head into a Week 4 matchup against the 3-0 San Francisco 49ers.
For fantasy purposes, Hunter's usage has gone in the wrong direction on offense over the first three games of his career. The Heisman Trophy winner played 64% of the offensive snaps in Week 1, followed by 59% in Week 2, and 53% in Week 3. Unsurprisingly, his best game was in the season opener when he caught six of his eight targets for 33 yards.
The 22-year-old has been quiet overall with 10 grabs on 16 targets for 76 yards and no touchdowns in three games. Hunter was heavily involved on defense last week, and although that probably won't be the norm each week, it makes him more of a boom/bust WR4/flex heading into Week 4.
Matthew Golden, WR, Green Bay Packers
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Matthew Golden looks to continue his forward momentum in terms of utilization when the Packers head to Dallas to take on the Cowboys on Sunday Night Football in Week 4. Golden's first three games in the NFL have drawn mixed reviews from fantasy managers who drafted him in the middle rounds.
Through three games, Golden has a combined eight targets, six receptions, and 68 receiving yards, with most of that coming in his best game to date in Week 3, where he caught four balls for 52 yards. He ran routes on 84 percent of quarterback Jordan Love's dropbacks and earned 22 percent of the first-read targets as well. To say Golden has been a disappointment is fair, but his role is growing.
Golden could keep his ramp-up going in a great matchup against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 4, but we need to remember that Golden has a shockingly low fantasy floor. That said, Golden is an upside flex play for fantasy managers in Week 4.
Tetairoa McMillan, WR, Carolina Panthers
Carolina Panthers rookie wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan (calf) is "good to go" for his team's Week 4 matchup against the New England Patriots, according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler.
McMillan was limited all week in practice due to a calf injury and is officially listed as questionable on the injury report, but it appears he'll be able to suit up on Sunday. The Patriots are getting top cornerback Christian Gonzalez (hamstring) back from a hamstring injury, which could make life more difficult for McMillan.
Still, McMillan has established himself as the top option for Panthers quarterback Bryce Young by recording 14 catches for 216 yards on 27 targets through his first three games of 2025. The 22-year-old rookie is a must-start fantasy wide receiver in Week 4 against New England.
Emeka Egbuka, WR, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Emeka Egbuka is off to an impressive start to his NFL career. Last week, Egbuka hauled in six of his eight targets for 85 yards in the win over the New York Jets.
He could be asked to take on a heavier workload this weekend with Mike Evans (hamstring) ruled out. The Bucs are still uncertain if Chris Godwin (ankle) is ready to return to action. That being said, Egbuka could be asked to step up and be the primary option in the receiving game. On paper, Egbuka should have success given the Philadelphia Eagles struggles to contain wide receivers.
Last week, Puka Nacua burned the Philadelphia Eagles' secondary for over 100 yards. Emeka Egbuka should be able to offer low-end WR1 value for this Week 4 home matchup.
Luther Burden III, WR, Chicago Bears
Chicago Bears rookie wide receiver Luther Burden III flashed big-play ability in Week 3's blowout win over the Cowboys, catching all three of his targets for 101 yards and a touchdown.
He also logged a season-high 31% snap share, showing growth in his role. Despite the breakout performance, Burden's overall usage still limits his fantasy relevance. Through three games, he has played just 25% of the snaps, well behind Rome Odunze (95%), D.J. Moore (88%), and Olamide Zaccheaus (48%).
Burden gets another favorable matchup in Week 4 against a Raiders secondary that has allowed the fourth-most fantasy points to wide receivers this season. However, until his role becomes more consistent, Burden remains unstartable in fantasy this week.
