New York Mets right-hander Tylor Megill (elbow) underwent Tommy John surgery on Monday and will miss the entire 2026 season as a result. The 30-year-old landed on the 15-day IL on June 17 with an elbow sprain, which proved to be a season-ending injury. Megill attempted to work his way back in the minors, but the Mets shut him down after he felt discomfort in his forearm in a Sept. 7 rehab start. The 6-foot-7, 230-pounder made 14 starts in the majors this season and went 5-5 with a 3.95 ERA, a 1.36 WHIP, and 89:33 K:BB in 68 1/3 innings.--Connor Byrne
