Los Angeles Dodgers outfield prospect Ryan Ward won the Joe Bauman Award after he hit the most home runs in the minors this year, blasting 36 homers this season for Triple-A Oklahoma City. It's the third straight season with at least 33 home runs, and this year he seemed to put it all together, as he hit .290 with a better-than-average strikeout rate of 18.7 percent after coming into the year as a .258 hitter in the minors with a 23.9 percent strikeout rate. The 27-year-old also registered a 12.7 percent walk rate, which helped him to a strong .380 OBP, and he also recorded a career-high 16 stolen bases. His 122 RBI also led the entire minor leagues. Even so, unfortunately, the left-handed slugger's name has yet to be called for a major league debut, but perhaps next season he'll get a shot, even if it ends up coming with a different organization.--Jarod Rupp
