Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Outlooks
Below are some fantasy football waiver wire outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider adding off waivers in Week 3:
Wan'Dale Robinson, WR, New York Giants
New York Giants wide receiver Wan'Dale Robinson had a monster game in Week 2 against the Dallas Cowboys, catching eight of 10 targets for 142 yards and a touchdown. Robinson has always been a consistent target-earner, but he's typically struggled to be efficient from a yardage perspective (career 8.7 yards per reception).
It's been a different story so far in 2025, with Robinson averaging 14.1 yards per reception for a total of 197 yards and a touchdown on 14 catches. It could be a one-game blip, but Robinson is a potential breakout player to monitor who still offers a relatively stable floor in PPR-scoring even if he regresses to career norms.
Through the first two weeks of the 2025 season, Wan'Dale Robinson has garnered 18 targets from Russell Wilson. Therefore, he should be considered a must-add player in all PPR leagues with 10 or more teams.
Romeo Doubs, WR, Green Bay Packers
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Romeo Doubs appears to be the team's WR1 early in the season, particularly with wideout Jayden Reed (clavicle) set to miss multiple months with a fractured collarbone. Doubs leads Packers wide receivers in both receiving yards (96) and targets (nine).
Green Bay operates with a run-heavy approach and still has multiple talented pass-catchers even without Reed, so Doubs' week-to-week target volume could be inconsistent. Still, he's going to be on the field a lot for an offense that should score points in bunches, giving him a fairly steady floor.
Veteran Packers receiver Romeo Doubs should be added in all PPR-scoring fantasy leagues with 10 or more teams, and makes for a sneaky rest-of-season pickup for the duration of the 2025 season.
Kayshon Boutte, WR, New England Patriots
New England Patriots wide receiver Kayshon Boutte converted his only target into a 16-yard touchdown reception during Sunday's Week 2 win over the Miami Dolphins. There was a lot of hype surrounding Boutte after he was named a starter in the season opener and caught six passes for 103 yards while playing 82 percent of the offensive snaps.
However, his usage and productivity took a step back this past weekend as he was not a starter and his snap share dropped to 72 percent. Plus, while Boutte did salvage his fantasy performance with a touchdown, it was concerning to see him drop so low in the pecking order with just one target. At this point, Stefon Diggs has been the only Patriots receiver with similar stat lines between Week 1 and Week 2.
Kayson Boutte, still a dark horse in many fantasy leagues, has a low floor and moderately high ceiling, ranking as a high-end fantasy WR4 against the Steelers in Week 3.
Quentin Johnston, WR, Los Angeles Chargers
Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Quentin Johnston led his team in receiving yards for the second straight week on Monday night against the Raiders and scored his third touchdown of the season. He hauled in three of his seven targets for 71 yards, highlighted by a 60-yard touchdown strike just after the two-minute warning in the first half.
He tied with Keenan Allen for the team lead in targets and trailed just Allen and Ladd McConkey in receptions. Johnston has over 70 yards in each of the first two games of the season and has shown an ability to get into the end zone that makes him a very strong option in the Chargers' improved passing game.
Quentin Johnston is shockingly still available in almost half of fantasy leagues, and he's a nice waiver wire addition even though the Bolts have a tough matchup against the Broncos on a short week in Week 3.
Darnell Mooney, WR, Atlanta Falcons
Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Darnell Mooney (shoulder) was a full participant in practice on Friday after being limited earlier in the week, and heads into Sunday night's matchup with the Vikings without an injury designation. The 27-year-old should slide back into his role as No. 2 receiver behind Drake London (shoulder), who also practiced fully on Friday.
Mooney owned a solid 21.3 percent target share last season with the same receiving corps, although much of that was with Kirk Cousins under center. In the two games he played with Michael Penix Jr. at the helm, Mooney's target share dropped to 17.7 percent.
Going up against a tough run defense, the Falcons may prefer to attack Minnesota through the air, but with plenty of receiving options at their disposal and Mooney potentially getting eased back into action, the sixth-year pro should be viewed as a high-end WR4/Flex play in Week 2 with some slight upside in PPR formats.
