Harrison Smith Downgraded to Out for MNF
Minnesota Vikings safety Harrison Smith (illness) has been downgraded to out ahead of Monday Night Football against the Chicago Bears. Smith had been listed as doubtful after logging a limited practice on Friday. He will not travel with the team. The 36-year-old will have to wait at least one more week before kicking off his 14th NFL season. He made 16 starts last season, totaling 87 tackles, three interceptions, one fumble recovery, and one sack. Theo Jackson and Jay Ward should earn more defensive snaps in Smith's absence.
