Houston Texans D/ST Will Need to Shine on Sunday
The Houston Texans defense will need to continue to step up this week since the team will be without starting quarterback C.J. Stroud as they host the Jaguars in a divisional matchup. The Texans' defense has been outstanding all season and has only allowed more than 20 points one time in eight games. They had only one sack last week against the Broncos, but did force two turnovers while giving up just 18 points in the three-point loss. The unit has 10 takeaways in its last four games and has also scored a defensive touchdown during that stretch. They rely on Will Anderson Jr. (quad) and Danielle Hunter to bring pressure off the edges, and Anderson did not get an injury designation despite being limited earlier this week in practice. They'll be chasing Trevor Lawrence on Sunday, and the Jags have given up 21 sacks in eight games this season, including 18 in their last four games. The Jags rank in the middle of the pack for a DST matchup, but the Texans have been good enough to be a top-10 option in almost every matchup. This week, RotoBaller has Houston ranked as the No. 7 DST, so they should be started in most leagues.
