Aidan Hutchinson Unlikely to Ink Extension Ahead of 2025
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that Detroit Lions defensive end Aidan Hutchinson is unlikely to strike a new deal with the team before the start of the regular season. Hutchinson has rapidly progressed through his rehab from a lower-leg fracture that derailed his 2024 campaign, but he is still playing on his rookie contract. Talks have been ongoing between the two sides, and Rapoport notes that they've been "professional and amicable." It isn't unlike the Lions to continue working toward a deal with the 25-year-old when the season begins, but it's possible talks slow down so as not to distract the athlete. Fantasy managers shouldn't expect the dispute over Hutchinson's contract to affect his play.
