NFL Week 2 Fantasy Football Weather Report

Tua Tagovailoa - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, NFL Injury News

Kipp's Week 2 NFL weather report for fantasy football (2025). He looks at which NFL games will be affected by weather to make key fantasy start/sit decisions.

Hello everyone, and welcome back to our Week 2 fantasy football weather report for the 2025 NFL season! The opening week of games brought us a ton of excitement and very limited weather issues aside from a lightning delay. As a reminder, I will be here each and every week through the Super Bowl to discuss the weather forecasts for every NFL game, where appropriate. This is an article that is near and dear to my heart, as I am always looking for a weather edge where I can find one.

We will rely on the most accurate and up-to-date weather forecasts for each stadium from AccuWeather, a source that provides comprehensive weather maps. Factors such as temperature, precipitation, wind speed/direction, and visibility can play a crucial role in shaping game outcomes and statistics.

Our goal with this article is to assist you in making informed decisions for your fantasy teams and other betting activities, allowing you to capitalize on opportunities or navigate challenges posed by weather dynamics. Additionally, I hope to be able to update the article at least once each weekend before games kick off, as this article does publish on Thursdays. Here is your comprehensive fantasy football weather report for Week 2 of the 2025 season.

Dome Games (No Weather Impact)

Some games in Week 2 will benefit from being played in domed stadiums, where the weather won't affect the outcome. These indoor venues provide a consistent environment.

  • New York Giants @ Dallas Cowboys
  • San Francisco 49ers @ New Orleans Saints
  • Chicago Bears @ Detroit Lions
  • Carolina Panthers @ Arizona Cardinals
  • Denver Broncos @ Indianapolis Colts
  • Atlanta Falcons @ Minnesota Vikings
  • Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ Houston Texans
  • Los Angeles Chargers @ Las Vegas Raiders

Minimal Weather Impact

These outdoor games in Week 2 don't appear to have very many weather concerns.

Washington Commanders @ Green Bay Packers (Thursday Night Slate)

This should be a pretty solid matchup on Thursday Night Football between the Commanders and the Packers. We should be in pretty good shape with the weather here, as AccuWeather even states it should be "dry and nice for tailgating. Overall, we can expect temperatures to be in the mid-70s during the day and then drop to the mid-50s during the game. Wind is expected to be quite mild with sustained winds sitting around 5 mph and gusts not pushing much past 10 mph."

Buffalo Bills @ New York Jets (Sunday Early Slate)

We have an AFC East rivalry matchup in the Meadowlands between the Bills and Jets, which should feature some pretty nice weather. It is always nice to have these solid weather games in East Rutherford at the beginning of the season because I am sure MetLife Stadium will end up on its fair share of severe weather games' list.

Overall, temperatures are expected to be in the mid-70s with plenty of sunshine. Wind speeds are expected to be modest as well, with sustained winds hovering around 6 mph. While wind gusts could push up to around 15-18 mph, I would not recommend sitting any starters for this contest at this juncture.

Cleveland Browns @ Baltimore Ravens (Sunday Early Slate)

The Browns travel to Baltimore this week to face off in another AFC North rivalry matchup. We should not be expecting many weather concerns in this game, as AccuWeather currently shows temperatures in the low 80s around game time. Sustained winds are also expected to be close to 4 mph with gusts up to around 13 mph. This should be a beautiful game in Baltimore with plenty of sunshine.

Los Angeles Rams @ Tennessee Titans (Sunday Early Slate)

This will likely be a popular survivor pick on the Rams when they travel to Nashville, Tenn., to play the Titans at Nissan Stadium. While we do not have any serious weather concerns for this game, it is going to be rather hot. Currently, temperatures are expected to be in the low-to-mid 90s with a RealFeel temperature close to 98 degrees. Aside from the heat, there is not much else of note; winds are expected to be close to 4 mph with gusts near 13 mph, and precipitation is not expected during the game at this time.

Jacksonville Jaguars @ Cincinnati Bengals (Sunday Early Slate)

The Jaguars will travel to Cincinnati to face the Bengals in an intra-conference matchup. Overall, the weather should be pretty solid, if not warm, with temperatures in the upper 80s. There is a slight chance of rain (12%), but this is not too concerning at this point. Sustained winds are expected to be almost nonexistent at 1 mph, with gusts projected to be close to 5 mph. I will recheck AccuWeather as we get closer to kickoff to verify the projected precipitation levels.

Seattle Seahawks @ Pittsburgh Steelers (Sunday Early Slate)

We should have a solid game between the Seahawks and Steelers in Pittsburgh this Sunday. While this will not always be the case, especially as we get into the cold winter months, it appears to be the case this week.

Overall, temperatures are expected to be in the mid-80s with partly sunny skies. There is just a 3% chance of precipitation as well. It is definitely shaping up to be a solid day at Acrisure Stadium. Winds are also expected to be mild with sustained winds hovering around 4 mph, and gusts expected to be less than 10 mph. All fantasy players should be good for this one.

Moderate Weather Impact

Let's take a look at some games where the weather is not quite severe, but could still have a moderate impact on the game and help give us some information on what types of skill players might be worth being more cautious with.

New England Patriots @ Miami Dolphins (Sunday Early Slate)

The Dolphins looked absolutely putrid at the Colts last week and now return home to take on AFC East rival New England. While temperatures are expected to be relatively mild by Hard Rock Stadium standards at 87 degrees, there could be some showers in the game, which is why I have it listed in the moderate section. I would not anticipate a stray Florida shower disrupting game flow in this contest, but it is worth noting. I would continue to stick with any players you may have been considering in this game.

That being said, this game is likely worth a double-check leading up to kickoff, so I will circle back and update if needed.

Update: Everything still stands as mentioned above, however, AccuWeather now suggests lightning could be in the area and cause a possible delay in the game.

Philadelphia Eagles @ Kansas City Chiefs (Sunday Late Slate)

We have ourselves a Super Bowl rematch in Kansas City on Sunday afternoon, and although the temperatures will be around 88 degrees under partly sunny skies, we may have some winds and a possible thunderstorm to contend with. Sustained winds are expected to be close to 9 mph, which is no issue at all; however, wind gusts could creep up to the 28 mph mark.

These winds could be enough to cause issues with the kicking game, and, less likely, the passing game. I would not consider benching the likes of Marquise Brown or A.J. Brown due to these winds, but you may want to give a second thought to Harrison Butker and Jake Elliott.

This will certainly be a game I look to update over the weekend, if needed.

Severe Weather Impact

There are currently no games scheduled in Week 2 featuring severe weather concerns.
