Eduardo Herrera Promoted to Triple-A Syracuse
Eduardo Herrera has been promoted from High-A Brooklyn to Triple-A Syracuse. The 25-year-old has had an excellent season in relief for the Cyclones, recording a 1.98 ERA, a 1.17 WHIP, and 29 strikeouts in 27 1/3 innings pitched. The right-hander even made one appearance in relief at Double-A midseason, in which he did not allow a run and struck out three batters in 2 1/3 innings. Now just one step away from the majors, the Venezuelan could provide some bullpen depth for a Mets team looking to make a playoff run, although if he were to get the call, it would likely be as a middle relief option, so he would not carry any fantasy value.
