Chris Taylor Activated From Injured List on Monday
Chris Taylor (hand) from the 10-day injured list on Monday and optioned outfielder Gustavo Campero to Triple-A Salt Lake in a corresponding move. Taylor did not start in Monday's 7-5 loss to the hosting New York Mets at Citi Field, but he entered the game late as a pinch-hitter and went 0-for-1. The 34-year-old veteran has made his return to the Halos after fracturing his left hand in early June. Taylor can play pretty much anywhere on the diamond and could see some run at second base with rookie Christian Moore (thumb) on the injured list, but he really should be ignored outside of AL-only leagues. He was released earlier this season by the Los Angeles Dodgers and came into Monday's action hitting .200 (13-for-65) with a homer and five RBI in a bench role. Taylor is striking out 37% of the time in 2025.
