Samuel Basallo Hits Home Run No. 18
Samuel Basallo went 1-for-4 with a home run during their contest against Triple-A Jacksonville on Friday evening. This was his 18th home run of the season. The top-ranked catching prospect in the sport has looked very comfortable during his first extended look at Triple-A. Through 60 games at Triple-A this season, the 20-year-old has posted a remarkable .265/.385/.585 slash line with 10 doubles, 18 home runs, and a 53:38 K:BB. This is an excellent sign for the budding star as he posted a modest .222/.267/.370 through his first 22 games with Triple-A Norfolk during the 2024 campaign. Fantasy managers should continue to closely monitor Basallo as he is on the verge of making his MLB debut. He should be viewed as a top stash candidate heading into the All-Star break.
