Bubba Chandler Prospect Update for Fantasy Baseball

Earlier this season, Chandler appeared to be on the fast track to Pittsburgh as he posted a stellar 2.03 ERA with a 1.07 WHIP across his first 48 2/3 innings of work at Triple-A. During this stretch, the right-hander struck out 69 batters and allowed 21 walks.

However, over his last two outings, Chandler has struggled to command his pitches, allowing five walks, four runs, and five hits through 2 2/3 innings of work.

While his command could keep him in the minors for longer than expected, he continues to show elite potential and should continue to remain stashed in all leagues.

Bubba Chandler Outlook for Fantasy Baseball

Before this recent two-game skid, Chandler enjoyed his best outing of the season, tossing five shutout frames with four hits, one walk, and eight punchouts. Chandler has struck out at least seven batters in five outings this season and has hit the eight-punchout mark four times.

During his first taste of Triple-A in 2024, Chandler showed similar potential, logging 39 1/3 innings with a 1.83 ERA, 1.04 WHIP, and a 54:15 K:BB. If Chandler can improve his command over his next few starts, he could reach Pittsburgh before the All-Star break.
